I don't think a lot of people realize that a "gun class" (hunting class, youth shooting class, etc) is more about safety than anything else.  In CT you have to take an NRA certified class as a step to get your pistol permit and I would have to say 75% of the class is safety.  It annoys me when you have groups attacking the NRA over "what they do"... have you ever gone to an NRA class and see "what they do"? 

I would support any school teaching a class like this, I'm sure there are kids that have had no exposure to a firearm that are curious about sport shooting and hunting.

Serious question, not because he falls down a lot, but because of his cognitive issues.  The guy gets lost in thoughts, turns to talk and shake hands with people that don't exist.... Would you want this guy driving down your street? 

I have parents his age that are driving but they still have it all there, my father plays tennis, mother teaches yoga... they can get in a car and safely get down the road in the right lane.  They are aware if their turn signal is on.  They can hold a normal conversation, are aware of what the date is, pay the bills on time, hang up when the guy calls to sell them an auto warranty... Is Joe still able to do all this? At what point do you take the keys away? 

I know Joe's not driving himself around that often but if it was determined that he shouldn't be what does that say of his ability to "govern"?  Just say'n...
