  1. My wife bought a piano in January and had it delivered to the house. The morning they showed up, the driveway had frozen to a sheet of ice. I was just salting it when they drove in. 2 guys, likely in their 40's or so. They carted the piano across an icey driveway and into the living room. Set it all up. Very Polite and cautious with the floors and furniture. They walk out the door and wife is saying "Thank you so much."

I say to her, "What did you tip them?"

She says "Oh fuck, I didn't even think about it."

So me, "Here's a $50. You chase them out the driveway."

Being in service myself. I'm very appreciative of those who do it well.

I think the minimum wage for a server in Ontario is around $12.

The general minimum wage is now $16.55

    Blaney, Busch, Lajoie

I always used to picked Busch at Bristol. But he sucked last week at Phoenix and he's been struggling since late last season.

Hopefully we see him get back up front today.

While we are talking RCR, how long do they leave Austin Dillon in the 3 car?

He finished 29th in points last year, he had 1 top 5. Hasn't won a race in 2 years. The guy is 33 years old. Will he stay in the car until he's 40?

The credit card companies had rules that meant merchants could not discriminate cash vs credit card payments, but I’ve never seen it enforced.

    Those rules have recently changed.

We charge %3 for credit cards now. Customers understand.

Most of our payments come by e-transfer anyway.

I didn't know the rules had changed, I just noticed a lot more places charging for credit card use. It was always in place at auctions I attended.

I don't accept credit cards at all in my business. We prefer cheques or etransfer. The bank charges us now if we deposit cash.

I always tip. Even bad service I will leave something. I don't know what is going on in someone's personal life, maybe the waiter/waitress is having a bad day. Great service and I will tip better than 20%.

We went to dinner in Florida recently, just the wife and I at a steak place. Bill was $350. The waiter brings the machine and minimum tip was preset to 20% with 25 and 30 as options. I was a bit offended by that.

Then I was at Wendy's for lunch the other day. My employee and I don't like this particular one because the staff just never gets anything right. The lady at the cash this day was probably mid to late 30's. She was smiling good banter, she was moving her ass. The orders were correct and came quick.

It was a good experience and I said to my employee "I wish I had the option to tip her. Not the rest of the staff, just her."

I guess I should have tossed her a $20 over the counter but not sure how that would go over.

It was nice to deal with someone who spoke English and had a positive attitude. I don't see that often.

some used and serviced RR shocks would give you a much nicer ride and adjustability

    Thanks.

Probably not worth shipping from Canada. There are some local shock guys here I can deal with. At those prices, its probably worth replacing them.

  5. I've got a 2015 ZR9000 LXR and I've never had the shocks serviced because I thought they were non-rebuildable.

    Anybody know for sure?

I've decided to keep the sled as a spare. Maybe its worth throwing some decent shocks on it.

My Legend 7x23 is now 14 years old and the steel axle mounts ate their way into the aluminum frame. I had the trailer into a welding/fab shop. They cut out the rotten sections of1/8" tube frame and welded in 1/4 plate aluminum. Its all fixed up and looks good.

The floor was capped over top of the axle mounts and I told them not to worry about being gentle. I had a rubber sheet flooring that I pulled out before taking it to them. They cut an opening just enough to remove and replace the mount bolts.

I'm thinking of replacing the entire floor while its half way apart.

This trailer originally had that AdvanTech OSB water proof flooring. Other manu's use products called Dricore and Drymax, etc, all the same stuff. I don't see where I can buy that at a local lumber store. There are some specialty plywood places here and maybe I'll call around a bit to see what they have.

Anyone have a recommended product. What about using 3/4" Pressure Treated plywood?
