No shit?  I guess I'll have to ask my dealer about it tomorrow.  That's literally the round trip time I have to/from the dealer.  I guess the bigger question is, what exactly are they paying?  If it's 1.5 hours based on my salary, yeehaw!! LOL  If it's, "Here's a coupon for $100 off a $500 purchase" ... no thanks.

Shoot, forgot to ask when I was there.

  3. Arrived at the dealer just a hair after 8am, both sleds done and headed home by 11am. Long day of driving but can't thank the good folks at Rockland Marine enough for getting us fixed up. Back next Wed with pair of my brothers sleds for same.

Rick, is that you???  Congrats - I've got the 650 version of that sled and I really like it (I do miss the 850 grunt/power).  I'm pretty confident in saying, I think you're gonna be happy with it.

It sure is brother, been awhile.  Really liked my Rush Pro S but always felt it lacked a lil stability / hair darty at speed so was originally looking for a 128 but so many happy with the 136 I took the plunge. My brother is getting twin to mine but in blue (red for me).

When thinking about jumping back in, good grief I had no idea how much prices had gone up since I bought my '16 Pro S. Then looking at used, not accused to seeing 1 and 2 yr old sleds priced either at or above what they sold for new. Patience saw me secure what I think was a really good deal on this one.  So next it was onto a single enclosed trailer, I thought sleds had gone up a bunch, good grief on trailers. Found a used all aluminum Triton but felt like I had to bend myself over on the price. Cost of having fun I guess, not complaining.

  5. After being out of sledding for two + years, bought a dealer demo '22 850 XCR 136, electric with 7S. Have not so much as sat on one so heres hoping I like it. Pick up next Wed, just in time to put away till next year.

  6. Valve / cam cover gasket seals the spark plug tubes, gasket starts to go bad, oil accumulates in the holes and shorts out the coil(s). Video above is nice n all but falls short of telling you the most important part to blow clean, plug hole after you remove the coil / before plug comes out.

  7. I found a more rounded edge aluminum handle made pair of em I owned much easier to pull over when cold. When dead nutz cold, most of them need just the slightest crack of the throttle before they'll start, if not, will flood hard, the F8s tended to need the same slight bit of throttle cold.

  8. Avalanche Extreme, highly underrated tire that does nothing but perform. Have also run Coopers equivalent (Discoverer M&S), a great tire but Av Ext edges it out in snow.

Lots of quality full-face helmets are.  (CL-17s are).  Seems odd they would fit differently.... just as odd that you would try on the same helmet in the same size.  Lol

Lots of helmets are Snell rated, but they are tough tests to pass.  MUCH higher standards than most DsOT..  And there is a cost incurred to the manufacturer.

But the modulars all seem to fail the testing.  Not  exactly confidence inspiring in a product you wear for one reason.  (And to keep your ears warm.)

I currently own 3 HJC helmets, all of which are XL and fit me correctly, my snow version CL14 is getting long in the tooth, time to replace.   Strolled into  Royal Dist, while they don't carry  CL17 in the snow version (yes HJC makes it / no I didn't care it would cost me most to add elec shield) I walked over to the motorcycle section and pulled an XL off the shelf. Not a chance that was going over my melon, neither was a 2X, the 3X did but was brutally tight above my brow, this is what led me to try two more 3X of the exact same model. No two fit anywhere close to the other, none fit me correctly. While the salesperson agreed all three did look / fit differently on my head, she decided I must be wrong about my current HJC helmets all being XL's. If they made electric shields for a higher end helmet like a Shoe or similar, would not blink at the cost. No blank check / baller sledding budget here, just willing to spend what it takes to be safer.

If you've noticed, some helmets loose the Snell Rating in larger sizes, perhaps they are no longer making different shell sizes but are instead cutting down on the interior padding to fit larger heads.
