I have had more than one sled with a 2" track dude. Had a 2" on my 03 rev 800x and 2" attack 20 on my m7 etc etc. I cut them all down because they absolutely suck on the trail and they dont hold up to any trail miles

Mebbe you missed my point... I thought you were in deep snow country.  Lummox only trail rides 5% of the time nowadays.  I can't get enough of offtrail... and it will be that way till I can't do it anymore.... then its back to trail riding.... with an 1.25" track

The thought of riding a 2" inch track makes me cringe ......I would quit sledding before that

Its a lot of fun once you learn how to do it.....

Trail riding is fun too... but didn't you buy a cabin in deep snow country?

  3. Ignorance is bliss... there is a fair list of things i used to find odd, till I realized (and learned first hand) there was a good reason for the things ppl do....

    -Long tracks on the prairies

    -High end snowmobile garments

    -Backpacks

    -Brightly colored sleds/clothing

    -Gopro's

    -Groomed trails

There are a few things i still can't understand

    -Alcohol while riding

    -Loud cans

    -People

Not sure but why are you answering my question with questions

Why do you assume there is an edge?

Let me ask you this why do planes not continually adjust altitude to account for the curve of the earth? When I flew to Vegas we reached our cruising altitude and maintained it for over three hours perfectly level. Why didn't we fly out into space? If the earth is curved the nose should have to be constantly adjusted.

    The answer is, they do.

The reason you say the plane is 'level' is because gravity pulls at your inner ear, and you can tell if you're not perpendicular to it....  gravity pulls from the center of the earth (and since the earth is a circle) you and the plane feel "level' when you remain perpendicular to the globes center.

If you began to fly off into space, you would feel like you're climbing, as you'd be un-level with the center of the earth.

Yeah? You gonna melt your gold down into little $5-$10 pieces? And walk around with a pocket full of gold coins? If you are saying the guy you want to buy food from also has everything else that you want to buy then there has to be some type of goods or service you would have to barter for because I really dont think there is enough people walking around with a pocket full of gold to buy stuff with. Certainly not enough to create a monetary system with.

We have been indoctrinated our whole life that gold is valuable. That diamonds are valuable. But really there isnt much you can do with gold. Diamonds have industrial applications but really all this stuff is, is jewelry. So if there was no central monetary system gold is really the last thing I would want.

without gold, no technology...the demand for gold is skyrocketing due to the phone you're typing on.

If gold isn't valuable, i wonder why all the gold in the US was confiscated, and exchanged for paper.....

    Very interesting history   https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Executive_Order_6102

That's kinda what I'm saying. People are going to want food and supplies, not sure what you can do with gold. Without an agreed value and money system gold is worthless IMO. I'd much rather have things that would be in high demand food, materials, guns/bullets, fuel, etc... That stuff will have value.

So what do you give people who have the food, materials, guns and bullets that you want?  Gold. or the poor mans gold, silver.

The main part is, the gold will survive till after the crash, concentration of wealth, and rebuild.

  8. Tin foil hat on:

Thing with precious metals or any other physical asset is, they retain their value even if the fiat currency doesn't.

Has happened a couple of times in recent history.  The $100,000  cash you have in the bank may only buy you a loaf of bread, but the $100,000 of gold you had stashed, will still be worth 50,000 loaves of bread.  Its the downside to having paper money backed by nothing.

...and speaking of a global crash, physical beats paper in any scenario.

    Tin foil hat off.
