Well the idle chatter and woo hoo’s can get annoying, but nice when riding quick and point sled can call out incoming sleds , or cops , or moose .

Johnny has a good story of a moose on the side of the trail , called it to  his brother behind him . Moose walked right into trail and stopped , as he rounded corner , would have been a bad scene .

johnny b can correct the story if I got wrong :)

    You are correct sir.

Who the fuck wants to hear anybody when sledding?  :)

My luck, and my frequency would pick up Red instructing the advanced riders, turn-by-turn.

Funny thing is talkers like Stevie are quiet.

Reds instructions would be short lived.

  4. My oh my, only a Doo lover could like this new platform, plus they have a crew from the CNIB picking colours, which of course cost an extra $200.

I kinda like my non functional mid windshield.

Functional does look a little goofy.

Best system and bag options out of all the manufacturers IMO. They are well put together and last. Only downside is the cost, they really are spendy as you say. You can however use between ski-doo generations although they always seem to come out with something new and better for a new chassis. I'm referring to the new "truck bag". Jacques and Pierre suspiciously decided to design a seat without a trunk.  Then they make a LinQ bag(a nice one) that fits the space where the trunk used to be. Really makes you mad how they charge more give you less and make you "finish" the sled

One reason I went Poo this time.  Came with a trunk bag and a pull starter...wow

And foot holds, also has a full front cowl not a chopped down Pug nose only a mother could luv.

I currently have three sleds and was gonna trade one in but my son convinced me to keep it, I agreed.  Looking at our needs one will likely sit unused so there isn't really any great urgency and I'm still not convinced what I want, but it can hold til next year.  Will go to the Snow Peak in Barrie this year and have a look see.

How did the Jetski season do for you?

Jet ski season started great, 600 miles down in Tennessee. Then our summer was crap, not to many hours there.

Then part three, Sept, Oct. Was fantastic. Trips to Tobermory, Killarney, Manitoulin, POB, hit the Georgian Bay big three, Beckwith, Christian, giants tomb. Never seen water so flat on G. Bay

Not me but a buddy in pics.

I want the extra warranty so I have decided it's better to wait.

Edge performance may have a couple snowcheck switchbacks left.

4 years warranty and some nice colours. Cheaper and better that the Doo 850 IMO.

850 is a smoother and marginally quicker motor though, nice unit if it holds together.

  10. Don't go cheap, you'll regret the cheapo after ya throw it through a window in about ...Ohhhh ...10 seconds.

Follow Stevie's suggestion, nella is great. My hand me down works great after 30 years, we're talking a lot of salami and prosciutto cuts.

Steve knows the finer workings of Nella first hand as his wife slowly sliced away at his manhood over the years....lol

  11. Those 800 etec don't like to crank in the cold. Get the recoil start installed and have someone hit the electric start as you give a yank. Should fire up in a pull or three.

You can do this via the clutch as well. Nothing else wrong just, these 800's were made in Jamaica I think.

  12. To low...was that out in Mississauga?

I built his house there years back, heard he was still there.

He and his wife were great people, stopped by every day to chat and take photos. Super nice couple.

Neither the Hercules or Coopers made any appreciable difference in fuel mileage on my '03 GM. Buddy put KO2s on his '14 F150, claims to have lost approx 2-3ltrs/100km on same driving.

That's what my brother is claiming.

  14. Hey Bob, I've run both the coopers and Hercs, best value winters out there. Great traction, noise was fine.

Nokian  Hakkas  were on my latest ford,  really like these tires, wore well, super traction and noise was at a decent level.

My brother just put on K02's,  another of my employee's has them as well. Work great with some good tread depth, wear well, noise level is good but more so than his stock good years.

He swears his gas mileage has dropped though. He likes them so far, good mud ripping at our farm last weekend. Brother has a 17 Ram, kid who works for me has a 16 chev diesel. Bro got the ko2's for under 1500 tax in. Aurora AT tire, owner was my neighbor once upon a time.

Let put together a ride this winter,

  15. Yes good price, kawi are allways cheaper. Parts are no problem.

I guess it's the 1200? Only issue with any 1200, 1500 up to 2009 was a single bearing driveshaft design. Wise to update to the double bearing design.

Deal with performance rec, they sell, service the most kawi skis. John the service manager knows these skis.

Not sure on Honda parts availability. There has been rumors they may come back, strong market these days. Their motor is a derivative of a car engine so parts will still be around. Aftermarket will have parts to fix any pump issues.

  16. Kawi stx1500 is a great ski, so is the ultra with the same engine. Stx is the more fun playfully ski. Ultra is a big wave mashing cruiser. I'm on my third Kawi with 205 hrs they have all been good.

Hondas are great no issues I know of. They use a civic motor so they last forever. Two hulls to choose from, much like the Kawi lineup.

Yammi just released a new EX model, entry level, 8500 bucks I think. Smaller but still a full size three seater.

Yamis r great just stay away from supercharged.
