Correct. At least it wasn't a piston as I left my tow rope at home.

How many rides do you get from a used Ptek motor?

Not many before the crank snaps in 2?

Rode 190 miles yesterday. Shelburne to Durham to chesley through Tara to Owen sound for lunch and back down the rail line to shelburne. There is so e serious fresh snow southwest of Owen sound

Here is something a bit more local North of Capreol today

Sled doesn't look very good here

Believe that is soupkids. Apparently was scouting a reroute for the local club to get around something.

  3. Took the xcr out for the first real ride today. -28c to start. Should have stayed in bed another 2 hours. It's definitely more planted on rough trails then the pro s was.

    Looks nice, Glenn!

I see you aren't wasting anytime with the stock skis this time...

Could use another essential shop tool......a grinder....

I kept the c a skis I had on last season and out the new stickers on the trade in.

  5. Finally got a shipping notice for the new sled saying it's built and on it's way. Picked up a new tow pig this week too.

Almost put 50 miles on it before I started changing shit lol.

C&A are good skis, but for some reason when I was following you, man did my skis ever track bad.

They do have a thicker centre keel then the stockers.

All shit breaks if rdden hard enough. But 3 sets of carbides and a set of skis in 2000 miles?

Polaris has the mounting holes too far back on the stock skis on the axys and they where hard on the front. I snapped the carbide off because it wore the runner out while still having carbide off.

Those skis desperately need shims and some type of ski saver under the carbide. I just decided to replace with in the better skis.

Edit- I never had problems with the skis on my pro ride either (2 sets of carbides in 6000 miles) The axys sleds seem to wreck the skis a lot worse then the old Chassis ever did even though they are the exact same ski.

I see you are bidding farewell to those trail rutting skis as well......

Stock skis in 2000 miles destroyed 3 sets of carbides and wrecked the keels. C and a skis and carbide look brand new with more miles and more road running on them

Of course it's price fixing , if you buy a product from a supplier or wholesaler you should be able to sell it for one dollar over cost of you choose to , catalog or not .

When a supplier dictates what everyone should sell for to make it "fair"  for everyone it takes away "fair competition " .

If royal was nothing more than a speed bump , why is everyone complaining how they take away sales from dealers . Dealers saying ," we can't compete with Royal ".

sure they can , if the dealers are paying Kimpex the same price as Royal , all they have to do is say .

"We Will Match All Royal's Prices "

wait a second , that makes too much sense .

Lets go back to trashing Royal .

I've bought pretty much a full line of made In Germany woodworking power tools. Any dealer that sells at less the. List has dealer agreement pulled.

As much as I dislike paying more:

    Quality has been top notch

Salestaff has been properly trained and actually knows things about the equipment

Used resale on mint condition tools is 80 percent of new and are easy to sell as you don't have to compete with sales

Only discount allowed is free shipping

Dealers work to provide better service to get the business rather then price race to the bottom.

If ya don't like businesses doing map or msrp only don't do business with them.

Edit. All dealers pay same price so margins are the same. No volume discounts.

METRO to cut 280 jobs by 2021

As the haters post about Wynne ( Darlene leading that) they missed this

“This investment will enable Metro to continue its growth and expansion in the Ontario market,” Metro chief executive Eric La Fleche said in a statement.

$400-million overhaul of its Ontario distribution network.

Another one that has nothing to do with governments

    https://globalnews.ca/news/3797136/metro-ontario-job-cuts/?utm_source=AM640&utm_medium=Facebook

We plow the snow at metros 3 warehouse at Dundas and 427. Woth the amount of idiots working there in sure there is a few to cut that won't be missed. I wonder if they are thinking of moving again.  Having your goods in 3 separate warehouses a half km apart can't be good for efficiency.

I know my buds have some 700 buck saws . that is not what I want or need . brushing my section 1 day a yr . and cutting a miss branch that falls at the cabin . if anything major I hire it out I have 2 buds in the tree biz . they say buy the 400 buck farm boss . I guess I could but I just don't use them and the fucking thing is heavy

Lol at being heavy. I limb trees now with a 660 and 24" bar. Only use the 441 when I pinch the bar on the big one.

But seriously the bigger motor stihl have a lot better reputation for starting after sitting. Little motors plug up the carbs so easily.

I would do that, get about 4 liters that would last me a long time

Shoot me a pm if you want some. Same goes for anyone else.

Will be a sad day if they take it away from the farmers lol.

  14. 19 hours ago, snowbear said:

I would gladly pay for some if somebody was going over and could bring some back.

I can still get the good stuff here. 15 bucks a litre. Takes about 3 litres per acre to wipe out everything but the grass. Has shot up in price last few years. Used to only be about 8.

The second is the worst of the proposals as it forces owners to be cash depleted and the third hurts with business transfer to family.

If they muck with the capital gains exemption too much there will be some pretty passed off farmers. A lot of small farms that's one of the few ways the kids can ever afford to take over the farm short of selling it and getting out completely.

  16. I need a new jacket and boots.

Wanting to go klim in high end jacket and some kind of klim boa boots as I've had surgery on one ankle twice already.

Opinions on when and where to buy?

Royal no tax sale? Royal at sled show?

Who else sells I'm in that actually stocks enough sizes to find the right one.

    If prefer discounted old stock.
