  1. I have received & sent e-transfer money via emial, need the password as well.

I do not know how they can reverse it, if you are sending one, the money comes out of your account right away once you process it online for the receiver to take.

if you receive the money, it goes into your account right away....no way to reverse it, as far as I know.

if I am selling something though to a stranger, not sure I would feel comfortable with this....come see the item you are buying with either cash in hand or certified money, otherwise, get lost.

Bank drafts or certified are from the bank...when you request one, the bank takes your money plus the service fee and gives you one of their cheques written to the person you are giving it too.....at least that is how it has always been done for me.

  2. To funny, but about par for the course for those that leave the Leafs

And if this is true, how classy....although possibly explains the weight gain!

Kessel also sent $50,000 to the hot dog vendor he used to frequent in Toronto at the corner of Front and John Streets. The gift was anonymous, but the vendor said it came with a note that read: “From a big fan and Stanley Cup champion.”

“I don’t know who else it could be from,” said the vendor. “Obviously there are no Stanley Cup champions here in Toronto. Phil may have a bigger waistline than most hockey players, but he has an even bigger heart. I’m happy for him and I miss seeing his face every day and sometimes twice a day.”

Weld that bitch.  From the location in the pic you posted, it's not like it's at the bottom and all rotted out.

Chemically strip an area 4-6" around that hole.  Tap all around the hole with a hammer and make sure there are no other soft spots.  Weld.

I think that is the bottom, the tank might be laying down in the picture....looks like the drain is beside it.

No reason you cannot weld it though....unless as noted, the steel is weak all around that spot from the water sitting in the bottom of the tank.....reminds me, probably time to drain the water from my tank....

And I am sure I have seen tanks at PA.

  5. So, just to clarify, I needed some parts to complete the swing portion of the playhouse, Lowes had a swing set kit on clearance as the box had been opened (half price) that would cost me less than buying all the pieces I needed separately. It had all what I needed and more, hence the extra brackets that I have left over.

My swing attaches to the playhouse.....the kit they sell is intended to a free standing swing.

    Here is a picture.

Stoney, if you assembled a swing set and had leftover structural pieces...... might want to recheck your work before the kids use it.

    :)

    Lmao ....good one!

    Thanks, but all good.

  7. Any one in need of some swing set accessories?

I just built the kids a play house and have some extra brackets left over that I do not need.

    I have two of these:

    And one set of these:

Sorry, forgot to mention I am in the Newmarket area.

I drove through the Royal York south of Eglinton area recently.  Lots of huge homes being made into monsters.

We are talking some serious coin to buy a $1mil plus home and tear down and rebuild a $2 mil palace.

When you really start to look around and be aware of your surroundings, it is really amazing just how much money is out there.

Most dealers have a specialist that just does transmission. Obviously would be brand specific and not all makes like a private shop

This is true....for any dealers that I know of someone that works there.

There are usually specific guys for front ends, PDI's, electrical, transmissions, etc....

I am somewhat surprised by that, but other than warranty repair there is no way I would use an OEM for that.  Nothing against them, just would prefer to have it done by guys who do nothing else.

Lots of people like to deal with dealers, and of course lots that do not.

Depending on the complexity of the repair, the dealer tech will do it, or they have their list of specialty shops as well they tend to use.

to hard on my body, I want to go back to a desk job

If you expand it enough, you do not need to work the tools...your employees will do that for you.

Sure does not seem to be no shortage of home reno work these days.

    That can't be good.

Might not need a "tranny shop" if that was the case.....

  12. All these new homes and infrastructure to support them is an easy target and excuse to increase taxation.

Why more of the infrastructure costs are not passed onto the builders, boggles my mind.

It is no different than the real estate market.  Plenty of hypocrites on here.....if there is money to be made people will exploit. Look at the  Climate Change bullshit, exploit, tax and get rich.  The Hip would be lucky to sell out if this shit didn't happen.  All bullshit

    Puzzler says negative to that....

Climate BS, what a money grab, cannot believe that shit still goes on, and getting worse.....F-off already with all that extra nonsense.

I would not build a starter home on a tear down I just paid $600K for.

No, but a 600K bungalow in the city would likely be in the range of a first time buyer.....if they were willing to live in "that sort of a house" as there first one.

  15. 35 minutes ago, Puzzleboy said:

Homes are a little different, and are more like any other traded commodity.

If Gord was not terminal, Hip tickets would never be $6000.  So what does that mean...... these scalpers are really preying on people's emotions.

    It's a bit much.

But if it is "what the market will bear" and they sell, why not?!?!

The hip, or there management should have put something in place to avoid this, if possible....they had to of known it was going to happen, and I assume they would rather not see this happen.

Its the first time buyers without any help who are SOL.  The stats still show strong sales, until that trend reverses I don't see any price retractions.   I hope it at least cools down somewhat.

Or still have affordable pockets first timers can buy at, that are not in the sticks....these are getting very sparse!

$5999 at StubHub.  YGBFKM.  It's about the fans, after all.

Fuck Ebay/StubHub.  Why on earth we legalized scalping with no price ceilings is beyond me.  And how does StubHub legally get all the tickets?

Despicable in a way.  I believe in capitalism and free markets, but something stinks here.

    Just like homes, right....

    It does suck though.
