Bullshit the D trail was fine that day. They actually groom trails north, south, east and west of snowcrest mogul riders

8000 or back the 4-stroke/9000 that you mentioned.....and you going on the wild side and try the 137, likely a better choice with a 9000.

    Sound financial decision......:guzzle:

Truthfully, I could not see shit....that freezing rain was bad.

    Isn’t e 85 mostly alcohol like 85% or something?

I would be surprised if it has that high a content, alcohol is not all the great on engines compared to gas.

I am wondering though why a tanker truck is driving around with that in their tanks, wonder where it would be utilized around here.

I told them to change the oil but they said it has no effect on it.  They are making sure everything is perfect as it is going through the gas stations insurance and its a fairly new truck.

The diesel came right out if the regular fuel pump. Good thing I have fleet fuel cards so everything is tracked and provable.

No effect....you have a liquid being injected into a cylinder that is not being burned, some will make it out the exhaust valve but some will wash the cylinders and end in the pan below.

For what it is worth, oil change is small in the grand scheme of things.

I am not suggesting you used the wrong nozzle, as I mentioned, a diesel nozzle will not fit into a gasoline engine filler neck.

Regardless, good to hear you seem to be taken care of.

  8. Make sure the fuel filter and oil are replaced.

I think the diesel tanks used to always be sort of by them self, but not anymore.

And you cannot use a diesel nozzle in a gas vehicle as they have a bigger O.D that will not fit.

Went up to Sudbury this weekend for some "late" season riding.  Launched from the STP building in Garson yesterday and today.  Rode all over the north end, around and across lake Whanapitei, over through Kukagami out towards Coniston and then back to Skead/Garson.

Overall trails were amazingly good. Some bare spots and rough areas here and there, but most areas are fine as long as you stay to the north.

Saw the groomer out yesterday evening even though trails weren't bad, then it got nice and cold overnight which set the trails up real nice today smooth and fast all over the place.

Pretty sure I'm coming back next weekend...

You up size that flyscreen of yours too....

Anybody used a set ? Opinions keep in mind not talking about a fella that would be shredding trails but runnin it up on lakes after this season with conditions as they were gotta tell ya darting was making me crazy had the sled in first of the season replaced any hiem joint,s that were sloppy alignment done and new stock runners Pro Cross chassis.Zig Zag Joe

4 stroke correct? So heavier front end....

No comment on the Trackers, but I would be more inclined to adjust the skid and suspension if it is that bad. Any issues with corner bite, if not, try to lessen the ski pressure by loosening the front skid shock or limiter strap, but I prefer to leave that a lone until last resort.

Never done it, but shimming the ski is another option.

Never ran stock runners, usually tossed in the garbage on any of my sleds.....I know they are usually offset with maybe a 4" carbide and a flat bar.

I assume your track is studded, in which case, those stock runners should be replaced anyways.

It’s far from good for insurance biz.  They are taking a beating on floods.

I guess the premium increases that some are seeing have nothing to do with that, does it....:guzzle:

Sorry, I find it hard to believe they are taking a beating, Ins companies are doing just fine....might be paying out more now a days than they typically have, but there have been many years where they were not & I did not see any credits being issued or premiums going down much or at all, just less coverage being included in the basic coverage typically.

Besides, if I had a place that was in a flood zone, I would expect that I either could not afford the flood coverage or it was not an even an option.

But I was being sarcastic about the whole thing, however these things do generally provide more business for the various contractors that do this work.

I hope so as well.  Warm and rain today.  Anything south of Kirkland lake will be done.  He's doing ok now.  Tough old guy.  The hospital in Orillia is a joke and kicked him out.  The nurses manager told the MIL that she didn't care if they had a spot for him or not in an old age home, he had to get out.  He has a fractured hip, can't feed himself really well, had bleeding on the brain and was having seizures.

You got to keep fighting back.  Same thing they tried with my dad.  Just tell them he will be back in emergency every week.

They did and he was back in about 8 hours later.  His dialysis tube started to bleed out again

A co-worker is going through this with her mom, hospital cannot wait to get her out, but the family refuses to let her get released & fights them all the time.....which by the sounds of it, her issue has yet to actually be resolved or found, kind of hard to find the route cause when all they seem to do is see how much drugs they can handle, kind of hard to communicate what is the problem when you are in that state.

It would seem as though the heath system really does have an unwritten rule about putting as little as possible into the elderly! Pretty sad if it is your parent that is at the mercy of the health system, but I also get the other side of it too, but these people too (for the most part) have contributed to the system their entire life as well.

This season is going to make it tough to keep sleds in the house. 15 years ago I was riding 5000 kms on good season’s. Thought by now I’d be riding even more. I haven’t ridden 5000 kms in the last 4 years  combined. 120 kms for this season is worse than I ever imagined.

HappyHour at the Mongolian Grill in Lakeland. $2 draft and it’s 28 degrees out.

    oh well.......

So are you saying the glass is half full :bc:

Between the crap year, messing up my back majorly for almost the month of Jan....I have not had the same desire to get out at all.

Not selling my sled though, just yet....after my first and only real ride so far, I was actually looking at some new stuff after that ride....

  14. The double towing thing I thought or recall had something to do with the first trailer attached had to be a 5'er, than a boat or second trailer attached to the rear of the 5'er.

I honestly do not think any 1/2 ton trucks actually have the payload rating to really support the pin weight of a 5'er, so that puts you into the 3/4 & 1 ton range......but some are crazy enough to listen to the trailer and truck sales people who suggest a 1/2 ton does have the ratings....

  15. I do not really calculate my fuel, just keep track of the mileage between full ups, but my current sled will get about 130 miles to the tank on average....just depends on the riding conditions.

Rule is never pass a gas station and rather not go more than 100 miles on a tank between fill ups.
