someone i know was up there yrs ago to set up a hot top plant. he was in charge plant was made in the us. they were fine with him but he could not take any tools with him. as long as he was boss and thats all. didnt want him taking a canadians job

i went up there monday. it was good but rain coming up there friday. was 3ft in pi was told more towards fort kent

almost all the gas and diesel fuel in maine and a lot of the northeast comes from st john nb.mostly by ship. and a lot of lumber coming from quebec and nb. with spring breakup there will not be as much logs going into quebec from maine.

have you seen freight rates go up where you run? they are up on the east coast

i heard on the radio a few days ago that the reason there is a shortage of tp is because the chinese make it. well they do in a chinese owned paper mill in down east maine. and some is shipped to us markets

the island of north haven me has said if you dont live here year round dont come here. that includes the summer people that own houses there

i have  4 trucks we plow and sand roads with. this has been a easy winter. its all contract so lots of rocking chair money this yr. unlike last yr when there was 45 snow ice events

we were in bc a few yrs back. coming down a long grade. a couple miles at the least. the log trucks were doing 25 mph doing everything right. when we get to the bottom there are crash signs up. a big truck laying on its side the top of the trailer broke open. he was hauling truck tires. they were every where

fmcsa suspends hours of service rule. this will wind the libs up. the large trucking co up here hauls some to a grocery chain of stores. this weekend they had 25 extra loads. its like xmass and turkey day combined and then some 

it is not over yet in northern maine. 8" of new snow today. the weather guy on tv5 says there is up to 4ft on the ground

i have seen one with the hard doors. he liked them. everyone is telling me they dont like the soft one. dosent seal well. blows out at the top. i have a ranger with the hard doors and its fine till the weather gets hot

this is what a former dealer said. parts and acc. markup varies from 10 to 45% the low end on some motor parts high end on acc. on new sleds under 10% on the low price sleds to the upper 20% on high end sleds plus 5% holdback

dose your dealer give a discount on parts and accessories? i have been looking for a set of full doors for my general. list is $2500. that seems like plenty. where i bought it and a ranger he will do 15%. a couple others would do 10%. one i called last week still has not got back to me yet. one of the big dealers that also sells   hd  wanted $200 over list. and the dealer some of you guys like so much told me $400 over list and that polaris just started making them. a friend of mine bought his in 17. he didnt like that answer and hung up

today in southern maine it was 60 in the county it was mid 20's and snowing. last week there was 3 ft on the ground up there

its the best of both

my general did it from new. finally polaris changed the complete drive shafts to cv joints if the owner complained. and i did. put a full windshield  and rear window on it and you will hear it. mine has been trouble free. polaris replaced the drive shaft and the door frame and inner panel that and moved the turf mode switch. other than that its put gas in it and go. and it will do 75 mph

dose it have the drive line howl at 25 mph? my general did until the nice guys at polaris agreed to replace the u joint driveline with cv joints. that cured it. i put the heater wiper kit in last week. its not a 2hr job or twice that 

yes i bought a general and a ranger from them. 

in ford trucks you can turn the seatbelt alarm off. it tells you how in the owners manual. it also says you shouldnt

i know the guys that own the polaris dealer there. i was talking to him today. the crash was on the rail bed. as he put it its a wide trail with a gentle curve. as he heard it the wardens may charge the other guy involved. 

and they should not been on a lake in the dark 

snopro started out in small garage mostly a 1 man band as i heard it. before it took off and they moved to winslow. nitro that guy used to work for snopro. they say he builds good stuff. he was in unity. last time i went by it was closed so they must have found a bigger building
