The dogpiling you refer to isn’t anything different than what has gone on here for a long time now except now some people are on the wrong side of the dogpile and they don’t like it.

MC has been on this forum since the early days and taken more shit than anyone here, yet he’s still here.

Maybe some others just need to grow a pair.

    Can't imagine why....:dunno:

It seems as though the shine is getting knocked off of college education. There’s a nice resurgence of trades.

For sure, He and I talked about that today. Told me about a friend of his that did his time being the bitch for an electrician, got his journeymans and struck out on his own. Doesn't need to do the big corporate jobs as there's a tremendous need for "little" jobs. Netted almost 250k last year and wasn't fucking his customers.

  4. The first problem is that many high school students have fairy dust sprinkled on them by their guidance counselors. "You have to go college to be successful" they say. My son and us spent $160k on a college education and he earned a masters degree in drinking and chasing women. Another valuable lesson was the lies that the college counselors would tell you about job placement after you get the degree. More bullshit. Too many kids get suckered into the lies that they're told by educational types and suffer for it. Sure, there are success stories but few and far between. He got into a sales job that, with busting his ass and not having anything to do with his degree, paid off his loan of 70k 2 years after he graduated. Didn't come easy but he did it.

    Talked

Yet none of the above occurred.

Thinking about such bs is scary enough and what's worse is having an audience nodding their heads in agreement.

Both the US and Europe is being overrun by people from countries that are either heavily sanctioned or war torn by the US. It’s a difficult reality to accept, but true. American politics contributed to a large degree this current migration. Every single president and congress since JFK is guilty.

Sincere question, why is that on the bold? IMHO, from people that I have met from C-A and S-A they always say that there is such a huge divide between the rich and powerful and the poor and powerless. Has been that way for years. How have we affected that?

I was (believe it or not) raised to have common courtesy and good manners and as I've aged and became grumpy Crnr2Crnr I'm finding it much easier to call people out on their bad behavior so ... on today's episode...

Left work early with plans to wash off the sled trailer at the spray and pay close to home and beat the 5pm rush.  Drive past and there's no one there.  Get home, hook up and zip over to the wash.  Ok, a few people beat me here (it's above 32F) so I wait.  There's two ricer douches in the center so I go left behind someone (SUV with kids guy) who looks like he isn't going to fuck around for twenty minutes.  First ricer dude is done and second ricer dude pulls in to the center lane.  Cars are stacking up behind us bigly. A few minutes later I get in, pull through, clean my shit in six minutes and notice ricer dude's not washing his car.  Notice him wiping his car down and inform him there's a line of cars behind him.  he replies 'I know' to which I replied 'do you see all the signs asking you not to do what you are doing right now?'... he sheepishly says 'yes, but...' which was when I immediately asked if he was always selfish and discourteous to other people.  he gave me a totally blank stare as if no one has ever scolded him for his actions, threw his chamois in the trunk and peeled out of the car wash.

Yeah, I've turned into 'that guy'... :roflcrying:

It's true but I blame parental guidance for a lot of shit that goes on today with kids.

On a side note, using one's name in the third person is so Badgerish.

  8. Short story about about a RZR that my son bought in NW Georgia. Saw an ad on Marketplace for a 22 Rzr and made a deal with the guy. Arranged for Uship to bring it north. Was picked up and lo and behold ended up stolen with the thieves even had the sack to post it on facebook the next day. My son saw the ad and reported to the police. Not much we can do said the popo even after my kid gave them pics and even the location and name of the poster. Called State Police main HQ and they said sorry out of our jurisdiction. Anyhow, insurance company is called and the fiasco continued with them, understandably as they had some legit questions. Told Ins co that the police were basically washing their hands and that the SXS was history. They did their investigation and 2 months later setlled. The police didn't really GAF and did basically nothing to get the SXS back. It ended up ok but the faith in law enforcement sunk to a new low.

Fast forward 6 months, he's looking for another SXS and guess what he sees, his stolen SXS in Virginia on marketplace! Calls the police in Virginia and the dubs in Georgia and once again they say nothing we can do even after he sends the ad. Incredible! Calls his ins co to let them know and they say call the cops. LOL!! Told them he did and that they've washed their hands of it. Ins co says oh well we settled with you and thats it. He asked wouldn't you guys like to potentially recoup some of the loss? Response was too much hassle and have a nice day.

Moral of the story is if you have something stolen just report it to the police and ins co, answer any questions and move on. You'll save yourself a bunch of time and stress trying to help.

    Not that it matters much..

Ahead of New Hampshire primary, Gov. Phil Scott endorses Nikki Haley for president

The Vermont governor’s endorsement of the former South Carolina governor was, as much as anything, a rebuke of yet another Republican in the race: former President Donald Trump.

Scott would endorse Mao Tse Tung before Trump. He knows that he would never get elected to office again if he did endorse Trump. Chittenden, Rockingham and Orange counties liberals would roast him.
