pretty far... our place is 210 miles from home. straight north all highway. 3 hours in decent weather. that's a long stretch for family. you guys close to your family or is that not really a concern??

nice quiet spot it looks like?? I like the cabin in vermont but theres no way I could retire there. too far from family. if I'm retiring I want to be able to see my family... how far out is your place??

I did the same thing... had an apartment with a friend and when the lease was up we both said fuck it on zero notice. ended up back at mom and dads and used the savings to buy my house in that year. Funny thing is my ole man wanted me out so bad he turned the heat off to my bedroom and closed the door

pricing, insurance etc. makes it pretty crazy to ride in VT. my father bought a leftover F8 up in maine (my uncle lives up by presque isle) during a once a year trip they do and left it there because it wasn't worth bringing back to pay sales tax and then register it and buy a TMA in VT. 3 years it stayed there. he had his old firecat that ran good for the few trips we were making.

definitely less traffic everywhere. just less people riding from what I can tell. still better trails if you stay away. with the dealer closing and the cops ticketing everyone that had to have an effect on things there. you see vast has a trail app now?? pretty cool and better than whipping out a trail map when you all want figure out a destination.

we generally stay the fuck out of that hell hole busy, full of nazi cops and newbs.... usually beat to fuck trails too. we will go straight north to the border then west to the mountain. tons of smaller routes to run around us too. makes it great if you want to do a shorter ride and head back to camp with some daylight still which is happening more often as gramps hands get pretty bad. then we take the kids out and play you still have a sled??

yeah, west glover area. nice ride up with it being so close to the highway. been rough the last few years with snow. My grandfather is still riding in his 80's and I want to get my boy out on the trail with him as he loves his great grandpa. to be honest unlike most of the guys who ride, if it wasnt for family i would have sold my sleds years ago. love having everyone at the cabin where abouts do you ride up there??

I check in every once in a while. not big on the political drama though got up a few times last winter. We had snow but for whatever reason we never seemed to get great conditions for a base on the trails. I had planned to register my old 2004 F5 and get the wife and boy out there for some family riding but it never happened. We did get my nephew on a sled though so we had 4 generations on the trails just about every ride
