This might have something to do with it........

The birthrate fell for nearly every group of women of reproductive age in the U.S. in 2017, reflecting a sharp drop that saw the fewest newborns since 1987, according to a new report by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

There were 3,853,472 births in the U.S. in 2017 — "down 2 percent from 2016 and the lowest number in 30 years," the CDC said.

The general fertility rate sank to a record low of 60.2 births per 1,000 women between the ages of 15 and 44 — a 3 percent drop from 2016, the CDC said in its tally of provisional data for the year.

The results put the U.S. further away from a viable replacement rate – the standard for a generation being able to replicate its numbers.

"The rate has generally been below replacement since 1971," according to the report from CDC's National Center for Health Statistics.

I understand....I think this is going to do well for you. I've served your sauce in some form to a couple hundred people just with the limited supply I had. I've got guys bugging me to get them in on an order already. I'll talk to the guys that want it and maybe we'll see what we could do on shipping for maybe like 40 pints.

When you decide to give the gallons a try I'll preorder especially if its spring. At least you know you have a start on moving some.

If you get an order for 40 pints together Ill gets some case pricing for you.  That will be the price that I use for stores.  Then you can pay the actual shipping. That will not be able to be through the store though.

I understand that....again, I'm not attacking here and I'm hoping this works out really well for him. I love the sauce....I just cant buy it by the pint.

I didn't take it that way.  We are exploring bottling gallons, but they are still going to be expensive, relative to the big brands.  My ingredients eat me alive (honey, seasonings, real sugars). I also need to bottle 48 gallons of any one flavor.....and that is scary, when I have a home for the pints.  It may be next year but we will get to that point eventually if it continues to be popular.  I do have some local restaurants using it so maybe we will be doing it sooner then later.

I love the sauce but the cost is up 33% from a few months ago. No quart or gallon options and after shipping it makes no sense to use the stuff. Need bulk options for me. After shipping its $85 a gallon or more. Great sauce....cant pay that for it unfortunately.

It isn't up 33%.  CKF has a promo code for FS members.  Pints are still around $7 after the discount and the shipping I am pretty much taking on the chin.  Shipping 'up to' 10 bottles will be way more then $14.95.... come on......  I used 1 case to feed 600 people the other day..... that's about $.15 per guest in sauce cost.

Dang I'll just have to live through you guys til I'm in the states.

Shipping food to Canada is complicated from my understanding.  There is certificates and inspections from what I understand...... We looked into if for MOMO but it didn't look like something that was very practical, unless you know of a different way!

Whoa.....that is getting it done! How many people did you have helping?

Probably right around 8 with me on the cooker.  Its a big ass party, and I was so busy I didn't get any good pictures.... bummer.  Started at 2AM and had all the food in serving stations by 12:15.

Then I cooked for the daughters first bday yesterday.... dragging ass today.

  7. I cooked for our company picnic Saturday:

    170 lbs of top round

90 lbs of boneless real ham

90 lbs of real turkey breast

90 lbs of mild Italian sausage

    270 hot dogs

12 #10 cans of baked beans

    48 lbs of sliced peppers

All on my cooker at the same time. It was easily a new record, fed 600 folks.

    Awesome

We've sold over 3,500 bottles locally in 5 weeks.......with out these two.  We might be onto something.....but it is really early in the game.  I have 6 other stores we are adding in two weeks which will put us up to 30+.  My local store has bought 996 bottles (83 cases).  I cannot believe we have one store ready to crack 1k..... insane.

I have to disagree Neal....a chuck roast does not commonly include the chuck eye roll in it. The chuck roast is not the chuck eye as its commonly sold in stores. You could likely request a whole chuck rib roast but I've never seen one butcher that way

Stop being difficult......it's the first steak before the ribeye....... :bc:

Speaking of which, have any of you guys ever seen a "club" steak?  That's when you are at an old school butcher...

Looks great Mike!  I'm looking forward to trying 'Gold Rush'.    Do you have the same proofs for the other three sauces?  I could use them if you do......

Check your email buddy.  I need the bottoms cut off.....it would be good to get rid of all the extra stuff on them.  These are current and up to date!!
