  1. So two schools of thought on this one :

You heard the rider talk about it - nuff said on that.

The series : ISR does not want a drag race into a corner , they request breaking bumps to control speed going into the corner , again insurance crap. The other side to this is , use your head - you know they are going to pile up or have a good feeling they will pile up there's a brake in addition to gas... Same situation we deal with in offroad and those tracks rarely change.

Its easier to blame the track conditions then to admit that you didn't let someone by , held your ground and it caused a wreck.

Just a little tip, when setting up your suspension, you are adjusting the sag for your weight, if you weigh 120lbs there its a recommended amount of sag to adjust for, if you weigh 220lbs you are adjusting to the same recommended amount of sag, so your machine should sit the same no matter what the rider weighs.

Dont go bringing facts and correct suspension setup into this

watching the replay of the heats I missed and missed a bit of info... no more spotter and radio coms?  does that make things safer... or more dangerous for riders down?

the problem was it took the rider out of the equation , they were having spotters watch and telling where to go to block people when they went to pass. I dont think it changed the safety factor one bit imo.

Lots of new stuff to overcome.  Shocks, the ADAPT clutch is still fairly new, chassis, etc.

I'll have to ask, but I'm wondering if Paul Brown maybe had the fastest Catalyst this weekend.

Getting to do some ECU work really has helped the Doos this year, apparently.  Having Bryan and Betsy as your mechanics with Wes providing feedback helps a ton too.

I think Bryan is probably the best mechanic in all of XC.

Once I walked away, it probably took me a solid 2 years to get back to not having weird pops or sudden joint tightening throughout the day.

Dont give that goat roper Selby any credit lol

waiting for them to upload the third 3X race on YouTube from Saturday night.

what didn't Elias break on the right front of the sled @fortune46x?

S module - split it in half up front and broke off the shock mounts on each side

They aren't reporting much, Jesse Hallstrom won Semi-Pro.

He won by a mile - a literal mile.

From what I heard the skidoos were running 113-115 gps mph, and the cats were only able to get 105 out of the sled (they werent getting it to shift out fully)

Stayed at home in the race shop all day.  Holiday banquet too.  Could have done without that.

I remember Boe when he was back in the Jr 10-13 class.  Damn that seems like not that long ago.

Even when I was racing, you'd see him get off the sled and gimp around.  Great guy, but damn that body has had a lot of abuse.

I can remember watching Tucker get off his sled and limp for the first few steps kind of hunched over as he walked back to his pits , it definitely takes its toll over the years.

That article is from 2019, and states that she works at Swanson Russell.

I hit her her linked in page, because I don't remember ever meeting her.  Most of the marketing folks have been coming to the shows.  It says she still does, but also makes it sound like she's moved on.

Check out the budget she had with poo

interesting , so I'm guessing that parascope is no more ?

  8. My understanding was they are going to make snow up to friday morning and build the track - they have 9 guns running. Kevin (formerly the groomer operator and snow maker for All finish) is the one responsible for snow making this year and is running one of the groomers. Great guy!

Its a weird deal, supposedly people claim to like them, but they've never sold for crap.  I don't like them at all, there is no situation I can think of that a 600 isn't better.

CC was trying to blow out leftovers last time they built them lol.  My bet is they ordered them wanting to have somthing to be able to sell in season.  But no snow=no sales, and now they are leftovers.

having owned one - they are a great gas and go sled for a non aggressive rider - the minute you get aggressive with it the trail manners go to shit I had to put larger shocks on to make it handle and even then it was far from perfect with zero aftermarket offering aside from shocks.

    ok... torsions.

    ZR 129 uses 0.359" 100 degree 12lb torsions

    RXC uses 0.394" 90 degree 16.5lb torsions

for the 129" they made a heavy spring kit with a pair of torsions that are the same as the 24 RXC uses... 8639-544 which is $145 for the pair.

    so there's hope...

what torsion springs are best for my flap cut freestyle ride ?

today I learned the Catalyst doesn't even need a snow flap

    who would have thunk it?

    :dunno:

Apparently the "freestyler" knows more then the cat engineers that liked my comment.

Also who the fuck would ramp a 137 ... Davis converted his to a 129 when he did his last AC freestyle sled.
