Here’s your problem…..oh and keep cutting the IRS ……..fuckin wads.

Dozens of big U.S. companies paid top executives more than they paid in federal taxes, report says

    March 13, 2024 / 12:01 AM EDT

Top executives of dozens of major U.S. companies received more in their compensation packages from 2018 to 2022 than the businesses paid in federal taxes, according to a new analysis of financial data from the Institute for Policy Studies (IPS) and Americans for Tax Fairness (ATF).

The report highlights the issue of whether some America's biggest and most profitable companies are carrying their weight, and comes as President Joe Biden is proposing to boost the corporate tax rate to 28%, up from the 21% rate set under the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA).

The analysis, which examined tax and compensation data for the first five years after the TCJA went into effect, seeks to link generous pay packages for top executives with the lower tax rates that corporations have enjoyed since 2018. Pay for corporate leaders has been on the rise for decades, with CEOs in 2022 earning about 344 times more than the typical worker, up from a ratio of 21-to-1 in 1965, according to the left-leaning Economic Policy Institute.

"We have these never-ending fights in Congress over our fiscal situation, one crisis after another, and one reason why we're facing fiscal challenges is because corporations have not been paying their fair share of taxes," said Sarah Anderson, a lead author of the report and director of the global economy project at IPS, a progressive think tank. She added, "The executive compensation system is really set up to incentivize executives to push for corporate tax cuts and take other measures that will boost the value of their shares in the short term and the value of their paychecks."

No doubt this needs to be straightened out but those making the rules are same ones benefiting from them!!

too bad they can’t figure out if everyone paid fair share we’d all be paying less!

but then again they would just spend more!!look at how wasteful state and federal government is!!!!

look at some of these jobs and made up jobs !!

most private companies would go broke!!

I mean whether or not the guy should have seen a helicopter in the trail is one thing but 100% the helicopter crew should have seen that they were on a groomed snowmobile trail. Common sense would say put out some precautions to show that their flat black helicopter that is meant to be basically invisible at night is in the middle of the trail.

Says the guy came over a ridge (idk how that makes sense on an air strip but we’ll go with it) and saw something to try and avoid and hit the outside of the horizontal stabilizer. Obviously he didn’t hit it just cruising with no effort to avoid it or he’d be 100% dead.

Depending on the actual terrain right before he hit the helicopter I’d put blame at either 50/50 or 90/10 on the helicopter crew. I was in the military for 8 years I can tell you right now the combined IQ of the helicopter crew was probably just barely over that of the guy on the sled.

Been alot of black hawk accidents lately!!This may explain it?

Yes democrats like others money.  Smart ones keep more of their own money.  Non refundable tax credits and deductions aren’t subsidizes…. It’s just business’s and individuals getting to keep more of there own money.

the more EV’s on the road the more they help drive the price of gas down through demand reduction that would otherwise be on petroleum products

big oil will reduce production and keep prices high to make those at top money!!Just like solar and wind generation.electricity costs will not go down for typical homeowners that do not have solar.power companies will increase kw prices even though what it costs them to produce goes down so they can make those at top $$$$$$.

  5. Be great if company's would raise wages and take a bite out of there huge corporate earnings but that will not happen and will pass the increase onto the consumer so wage increase would be nullified!!

Exactly-I could also see adding the new Garmin display to one of Country Cat's leftover Catalysts. That would be a hell of a lot cheaper- and maybe a better option.

Frankly, I LOVE the Polaris 7s display, but it has been far from perfect. Occasionally Glitchy, hanging, rebooting, difficulty connecting, group ride glitches--- all well documented. I'm an expert at pushing and holding the Polaris button to force the 7s to reboot while riding to bring it back to life.

Polaris tried for a while to release frequent firmware updates for the 7s to fix the issues. Now it seems like they've given up. No firmware updates have been available since last March. As much as I love the 7s, the Garmin option on a Catalyst makes me even more tempted.....

Polaris could have EASILY made me a customer for life. My ownership experience started very strong, and now the relationship is luke-warm at best......

I'm sitting here playing with the '25 Polaris Snowcheck pages....and I'm just not feeling it......

Latest 7s update so far fixed my xcr.

i was having frequent lockups last two years.

    this year all good!!

well for how many miles i rode it it didn’t!!

    850 vr1 Dynamix about $18500 before taxes!

all special packages come with electric start and 7s including xcr
