What is she going to be hauling in the pickup?

She most likely won't be pulling anything with her truck she will be with wife when they pull the horses with our Silverado.

And yes I like the full size truck better just not sure how she will do with parking that at school and work. I have seen the mileage sucks in the little trucks, just more for ease of driving for her.

  2. Ok, My son had a 2004 Silverado and we had great luck with that until someone rear ended him and totaled it, ugh and now he bought a Cruze, he'll learn he will miss the truck. And now my daughter is driving m wife's car but she wants a truck and I'm was thinking Colorado until I talked to some shops and they say stay away for repair bills. So, she has about $5000 to spend. I have heard good about used Rangers, so looking for 4x4 2001 -2007 ish. Or anyother good trucks to look at? And I will also share her truck to pull enclosed two place sled trailer when my daughter and wife use our newer Silverado to pull their horse trailer.

    Thanks

That is awesome Frank.  Those kids are gettin it on their Quads.  Did Nick race again this year?

Thanks Tom, yes he is flying now he just had a lot of bad luck last year otherwise he would have won the championship as he was faster then most in his class, but that is racing.

And well as far as this season, start off Awesome, I'm attaching video from Ironman MX his first race of 2019 season. And we were hoping to continue that all season, but some lady who paying attention rear ended my son in his truck! She totaled her SUV and my son's Silverado! And he got bad whiplash so that ended his season. He hasn't been on the track since, he has rode around the yard and We are hoping to go to the Fly Days up here next Saturday so he can ride but he is done for this season. And we will see what he does next year as he will graduate from High School this June, I think he will do some races in 2020 just won't go for points as it takes up a lot of time. But he has made me very proud and come a long way and most of all he has had fun doing it!

I found a couple Acura MDXs that seem  very nice...the only thing concerning is the timing belt and ensuring it has been replaced. I think they recommend replacement at 70,000 miles.

Major reason I want the V6. the timing belt issue is the 4cyl deal! My serpentine belts have gone over 200k each and neither one broke.  My miles are mostly highway, so most of that recommended miles don't matter as most people do short trips and that is worse for cars, drive them and let everything get warm. I have not replaced exhaust either!

  5. Well, Honda = Acura, just better car inside with more features and you have to run premium gas. I have a Honda Accord 2006 V6 with 504,000 and still going! I'm sad they don't use this motor anymore so not sure what I will replace it with but at current time if this car keeps going no need for new one! My last set of brakes lasted 197,000 miles! Still gets 27-29mpg on highway!

Cool video...little buggers are tearing it up!

Such an awesome place! This will be the first year in many we don't make the trip down for my son to race Quads down there. But damm its always hot and humid down there! They could plan these two big races later in the summer, that track sits the rest of the year!

    Morning-

22 / -1.  Holy fer balls its a full on blizzard out. City is pretty much closed today.  10-16" total but not sure how they will measure it as its blowing like a mofo.  Tapers off around noon then the lake effect kicks in.   Oh and -50 on Wednesday.......

    :ssfb::jammin::gmfo::smails::ben:

I know that wind chill looks nasty! And of course we have our sales meeting Thursday- Friday at Waubee Lodge! So, might not be as many miles as normal.  But, Waubee is a great place to stay so that will be fun

So it looks like this replaces the Cat gauge? Is that correct? And they don't show WI for maps yet. Keep us posted how it works for you please.

  9. So, not the first year we were hoping for on his 450 quad. But had some great races for sure and some strange break downs and crashes but that is racing. Not sure his plans for 2019 season, he is looking for more sponsors to make the far National races so might just do local National tracks, Redbud, Sunset MX, Ironman and Loretta Lynns. And some local ATV races. And also he is looking getting some seat time in Legend race car and or 4 cylinder race car at local asphalt track. not sure, but we had fun and when he was on his game wow, he had some great heat wins with up to 20 second leads.

NICE!    hes come a long way in a few years  :thumb:

Yes, he has. It has been  a rough year after his good friend passed away last year while racing. And then this season moving up a class to 450 and between quad issues and accidents. and he finished the last four heats in either 1st or 2nd place with all four hole shots! And of the races he won he had a minium 18 second lead. And this last weekend district race at Redbud it was more like 30-40 second lead. he was so pumped! He knew he could do it but after the issues all season he was second guessing himself.
