  1. On a similar subject, on a two lane highway that has a third passing lane in certain spots, is it legal to use the oncoming lane to pass cars that are sitting in the left passing lane instead of moving over to the right lane?  For the past 17 years I have been putting 500+ km a week on Highway 15.  Seeing more and more of these idiots who sit in the passing lane instead of moving over like they should.  Thanks.

  2. That's awesome.  We had a yellow lab that couldn't be contained.  All the neighbours knew him and loved him.  He would swim across a narrow part of the lake to visit people.  We knew his time was almost up when he stopped touring around and visiting people.

    lol i had a 72 500 four, my buddy had a 550 four

Bought a CB 175 and a CB 200 parts bike when I was 14.  Traded up for the 500 when I was 17.  Have had a soft spot for old Honda bikes ever since.  Still remember the first time I laid eyes on a CBX.  Couldn't believe how wide the motor was.

yeah there is a few of them old XJ models that are bobbed out, they look pretty bad ass

With a lower seat, some good pegs, grips and the right bars it is way more fun to ride than a stock 650.  Plus after opening up the exhaust, jetting the carbs and ditching 100 pounds of useless crap it's a decent performer.  Fun hunting for trick parts on eBay, no worries about stone chips, scratches or having to polish any chrome.  I'd like to build something similar with old school knobby tires.  Maybe start with a Honda CB 750, always wanted one of those.  Had the 500 four version.

  5. A friend of mine bought a neglected, rough looking as fuck Yamaha 650 Maxim for a couple hundred bucks.  He did it up bobber style, flat black everything.  Put maybe a grand into it in tires and aftermarket parts, now it's a pretty cool backroad blaster.  I wouldn't mind having something like that.

  6. Was selling a car on Kijiji one time, guy from a city about an hour and a half away wanted to come look.  I offered him directions, but Mr Smartypants had already done a Google search on my land line number, got my address and had his own directions.  Alrighty then.  About an hour after the time he should have shown up, he finally calls.  Clearly frustrated, lost as fuck down some dead end backroad way on the other side of me.  I gave him directions and waited another hour for him to backtrack to my house that he passed two hours ago.  Then he wanted to play the lowball game.  What a fuckin idiot.

Around here much of that is the parents carrying on long winded conversation with the bus drivers. Then they get in their SUV and drive 3 houses to their drive way :wall: Let the fucking kid walk FFS

Oh yeah.  We have a couple little pricks that sit in their parents car until the bus is stopped with its door open, then they take their sweet ass time getting out, getting their bag and walking to the bus.  Then the parent gets to pull out of the driveway ahead of the bus while the lineup of cars goes insane.

Or the kids that are constantly late for the bus, making the diver wait while they bail out of the house and sprint down the driveway.  When I was a kid if you pulled that shit two days in a row you would be seeing the buses tail lights, lol.

  8. Dickbag school bus drivers that hold up 25 cars behind them instead of pulling over to the side and letting them pass.

Fuckwads that pass you and then 15 seconds later make you stop behind them while they wait to cross traffic to make a left hand turn.  Or the ones that pass you and within a mile they are going slower than you were.

I'd love to drive one .....although there would be no way I would choose one over a gtr

Never drove a GTR so I cant compare.  But I've drove lots of fast Corvettes and Mustangs over the years, the 650hp Z06 is pretty awesome.  I put it in track mode and turned it loose in front of the cop station just outside of town.  Good times.

  10. What a fucked up world we live in.  People need to get over it.  Now it will have the LGBTHIJKLMNOP idiots all riled up.  Personally I think it's a good word and should be used more often.

I see that every day. It's almost every other driveway. I can understand protecting your kids but it looks more like utter laziness.

Drives me fucking crazy.  I get stuck behind one school bus where the kid (teenager) waits in the car until the bus stops and opens the door, then he gets out of the car and leisurely strolls the 50 or so feet to the bus while traffic is backed up 15 cars deep.

  12. My mother had a "paddle stick" made out of like 3/16" wood paneling. 9_9  It was a novelty item but she thought it was the real deal.  She could wail on my back side with that thing and it just made some noise, never felt a thing.  One day I burst out laughing while she was wailing on me with it, she then started wailing harder and the stupid thing broke in two.  When I saw it had broken, I literally fell on the floor I was laughing so hard.  Fuck was she pissed.  I think that was the day she gave up.  Poor woman.

  13. Fuck it was a ten year olds dream.  I must have had 100 feet of track snaking all around my bedroom, plugged into three different wall outlets.  The lap counter, the staged start setup, tunnels, sections of flexible track, it was awesome.

  14. I had a ton of AFX slot car track and pretty much every accessory they made.  About 30 cars/trucks.  One of my fathers friends was right into it, he gave it all to me.  Spent hours playing with that shit.

  15. My friend works at a Nissan dealer.  These things are coming to the parts, service and sales departments at Nissan.  Want a new Titan?  Go to the sales kiosk, punch in all your info and select your options, order the truck without ever talking to a salesman.  Want to book a service appointment?  Book online, go to the service kiosk when you arrive, punch in your info and drop your keys in the slot.  Never talk to an advisor until it's time to pay and leave.  Want to price some brake rotors and a bug deflector?  Go to the parts department kiosk and do it there without having to bother a parts guy.  Will eliminate jobs for sure.

Not surprised you came away unimpressed with the M&S AT2's. Many have reported premature wear, so so traction and cupping issues.

You got that right.  I've seen the AT2's down to the wear bars in 40,000km on a 2500hd Duramax that is worked.  Only reason I bought them is because they were $500 cash for a set of take offs from a brand new truck with 10 kilometers on it.  I've got 65,000km on them but they won't be good for another winter.
