  1. IMO when snow cross gained popularity the writing was on the wall for the triples.  The industry shifed to lighter, snow cross style sleds with big suspensions instead of big top end speeds.  Would love to see a triple piped two stroke with modern tech from any one of the manufacturers.

  2. Any oil the engine is burning will eventually find its way into the exhaust.

Oil in the air filter could be an indication of too much blow by (piston ring problem) causing oil to come through the breather tube.

A leak down test is very useful to find the source of the cause of low compression test.  But neither a leakdown or a compression test may show the cause of burning oil due to failed valve stem seals or stuck oil rings.

My point was it doesn't make much sense to do one without the other as it's pretty much just as much work.

  3. Really no quick way to tell.  Even a cylinder leakdown test won't necessarily show bad or stuck oil rings.  The cylinder head has to come off to do piston rings anyhow, it would be kinda foolish to put it back together without doing a valve job and replacing valve seals.  Not much cost for a machine shop to do that work if you hand them the head.

Yeah how weird considering we have an election in just over 3 months with a woman and outsider as candidates....kind of a current event don't ya think. Now go home and get your fucking shinebox!

Touchy subject?  Or you just realize you guys are fucking screwed either way?

  5. I won't take a certified cheque for a valuable item, because they can be reversed.  A guy I worked with was into selling and transporting horses as a side gig.  He sold and delivered one horse, lady was happy with it and paid him with a certified cheque.  By Monday when he went to cash it, it was no good as she had canceled it, claimed the horse was not as many hands tall as she was led to believe, he had to travel a long distance to recover the horse.  Another guy sold a Camaro for 10 grand.  Same thing, by Monday the cerified cheque is canceled.  Buyer claims the motor in the car is no good.  Seller smells bullshit and says return the car then, buyer says no, he still wants the car, just not going to pay 10g, he will pay 7g.  Seller contacts a lawyer and is told he's pretty much fucked, take the $7,000 while he has the chance.  Fucking scammers.

  6. I found it at the used DVD shop while waiting for my son to get a haircut.  Wife and I watched it one night while the kids were away.  We were both nearly pissing ourselves laughing at the puppet sex scene.  Great movie.

Yesterday the pet store gave my wife some stuff to try for free.  As soon as she walked in they asked, is he eating OK now?  Lol.

    Looks like Newfs seal?

Our guy has been on Purina Pro Plan as recommended by the breeder.

  8. My wife and I have been lucky with our two boys.  Aside from a light swat on their asses to get their attention when they were young a couple times, I have never had to use any physical force to get them to act proper.  They always knew that I meant what I said and there would be consequences if they act up.  Offer the years we've got lots of compliments for how well behaved they are in public, and we let them know we're proud of them for not acting like rotten little fuckers like some of their peers.  They are just starting into their teenage years, hopefully the good behaviour continues.  I feel bad for some of the parents that have to deal with ignorant little pricks, but they make their own beds by letting the kids do and say whatever the fuck they please.

  9. Our chocolate lab is 7 months old and he's always up to something.  Wife planted flowers a couple weeks ago, we got home a couple nights later and she noticed one had been ripped out of the ground.  "That little bastard" she says, and I jokingly reply that she shouldn't blame him when she has no proof.  Just then he runs over, lays down by the flowers and rips another one in half.  He looks up at her with a big leaf hanging out of his mouth, the look on her face was priceless.

  10. Considering how complex shit is these days forcing the need for lots of special tools and diagnostic equipment, also the long manufacturers warranties, I'm not sure if an auto transmission business would be a good venture.

  11. My dog would much rather go on the road tour than stay home alone.  So if I have to go into a store, it's windows down 1" and truck running with the AC cranked up, spare key in the ignition with the doors locked.  If that bitch breaks my window, she can bet her bottom dollar I'm gonna back over that stupid piece of shit spider and turn it into a pancake.

  12. Lame thread.  Isn't the "won't be down for breakfast" used when someone has already passed?  Poor taste.  Sorry but it hits a nerve with me.  Lost my father to brain tumours when he was 40.  Four months after diagnosis.  Never smoked, did drugs and hardly ever drank.
