Nunz over on OC threw a crank bearing on a '16 Pro X. I thought Poo had those 800's figured out.

Those 800HOs have been very reliable.  That being said, the only issue that I have heard about is the very rare one having crank bearing issues.   My dealer (Go Performance in Dorchester)  has sold 50+ 800 HOs and 2 have blown up.  1 was a cold seize and the other was a crank bearing.

Todd was telling me he has a customer who has 10000 miles on his 2015 800 HO and they tore it down to do a top end as preventative maintenance and it was still completely in spec.   They did put pistons in it while it was apart but they certainly arent like the 2011-2012s that needed a top end every 2000 miles.

What's the big secret of posting a shop's name who has grenaded Doos in for service?  It's not like the shop made them grenade.

Let me guess... you ride a brand other than Doo.

You are right, I dont ride a Doo sled, but I just ordered 2 new Seadoos so I am not that anti-BRP  He asked me not to post it so I wont.  He doesnt need any more drama or paranoia with these things as his phone is ringing off the hook with people asking if they are having issues with them and he still has lots of unsold 850s on the floor.

Which dealership?  And what "grenaded", exactly?

I am not posting his shops name as he will be pissed off but it is one of the bigger BRP stores in Ontario.   1 just just came in on Friday so they haven't torn into it yet, but the one from last week was crank related.

Both sleds had 4 year warranties at the time. Pro-s ran 121MPhil on speedo and taller sitting pro x ran 114.

Can't seem to upload pictures off my phone to this site anymore f9r some reason.

Yup.   Glenns Pro-S LE and my Pro-X (taller) would run side by side til 85 mph and then he would start to pull away.   Over 100mph on the speedo his sled was quite a bit faster.  That being said, my Pro-X was WAY better in the bumps with the stiffer suspension.

I am looking forward to lining my SBA and his Pro-S up and seeing what the difference will be.
