They are getting ready to redefine the flood plains in our area based on global warming predictions
It's interesting. I'm in PA, but on the NJ border.....so been "observing" the NJ beaches for 40+ years. Have yet to see any land swallowed by the rising seas. Sea's that by now surely should have begun to rise and force the beach houses back. Wonder when it will start?

Biden's island. Reasons:
1) "free" healthcare and education (including college).
2) No cops, since they've been defunded.
3) Universal basic income (hey, guess I don't need the "free" college).
4) No real accountability for my actions and no real reason to get out of bed in the AM.
5) Open borders so I can come and go as I please....in the event I do decide to get out of bed in the AM.

One would have to think many college towns across the country will be in a serious economic shit storm if students are not brought back on campus this fall.
Considering a significant portion of college towns are extremely liberal and financial well being depends on the student population from August to May it will be interesting to see how this develops.
One would hope a lot of American's can start to extrapolate that (specific locale adversely impacted when the money stops flowing) to the bigger picture.....like what happens when we send so much NET wealth out of the US for goods and services. Maybe now people will better grasp the COST side of the free trade arguments!

Before we are at war with China?
Would be fascinating to hear high level conversations in DC about this subject. It's been communicated imo that a new version of a cold war has already started....IP theft, currency manipulation, deindustrialization of the US. United States of China, I hope I miss the ride.

I found a local hardware company with lots of boxes of disposable gloves and face masks today. All made in China. They probably come pre-laced with CV19.

Good god man....what’s 4.2 to 2.1 give you
Also that 2.1 was entirely made up of the exact amount the fed expanded the balance sheet for Q4 so technically GDP was fucking zero
They're nominal GDP growth rates bolded above. Entirely different than saying "GDP was down 50%". Just cleaning up the sensationalism and fake news.

Fauci's 78ish years old and probably working 80 hrs/week. Is it realistic he's still got a sinister and/or greedy agenda at this stage of this life? If he did, I think it's plausible he could have cashed in a while ago and been on easy street by now.
The above video is interesting, but WAY too premature to jump to big conclusions imo.

like turning back hospital ships and tearing down every field hospital they put up because even in the hard hit metro citys they were never needed .
And some peeps still question the lock down's effectiveness.

Should have done the Sweden approach. Amount of deaths will prolly be overall the same despite our efforts.

"This thing's not going to stop until it infects 60 to 70 percent of people," said Mike Osterholm, the CIDRAP director, in an interview with CNN.
"The idea that this is going to be done soon defies microbiology."
Given the degree of how contagious it is, you really want to slow roll the infection rate so as to not overwhelm the healthcare system. Hence the lock downs, in part.
You wanna see panic and desperation, infect a large % of the country within a 3 month or so time frame.......you'd be begging for a do-over with Wuhaun-like lock downs.

I'm not seeing any incremental deals on new GMC half tons. $5-$10k off MSRP, depending on the model. Dealer inventory seems to be holding steady....which makes sense since GM production is shut down, as are most dealers.
Used GMC's don't last long on Carvana, I guess more peeps are adapting to buying sight-unseen and delivered to your door, perhaps out of necessity since dealers are mostly closed.
Will be interesting to see what happens to inventory when dealers open and GM ramps up production again. Cheap money and cheap gas should help sell, offset by unemployment, etc...
All that said, I'm not driving much at all, so no real reason to replace my vehicle other than my desire for change.

States should just raise taxes high enough to avoid bankruptcy.

If by we you mean corporate America you are right, the argument that the US consumer demanded shit from China is absolute bullshit.
We point fingers all day long, meanwhile we continue to increase their wealth our our expense, net. We'll reap what we sow.

How much do you make a year as a slumlord?
I just let the account fester. I don't do anything but withdraw from the cash occasionally. Also those MRDs.
RMD's. And you can skip them in 2020, for most types of accounts.

I knew about that but if you arent doing business because of a shut down, are you just supposed to pay employees to sit at home?
With the application and processing time, we should be back up and running by the time you actually receive the funds. The 8 week clock starts from when you get the funds.

There are more. Guy is a complete imbecile. Rather its dementia or just plain stupid thank god he is not running the country.
Said he wrote an op ed for US News and World Report on Jan 17. Was actually the USA today on Jan 27th.
Maybe they'll replace him with Cuomo from NYC mid-summer.

Any moderately successful man ought to be able to amass $2.5 million which sanders is worth. That’s not an exorbitant amount of money for a man his age. The GOP seems to think he should be worth pennies for any type of legitimacy. At least that’s what their selling to JT and his type.
A) That's raw ignorance. B) The irony.......his ideals, if implemented and sustained over his lifetime, would make it even harder for anyone to be "moderately successful".

Not sure how long the GM 10 spd transmission has been out in the pickups. Any word on how they're doing? I heard lots of complaints about the 8 spd transmission. I know the 6 speed's been good (mine's got 140k miles without issue, knock wood).

From NJ and named Alvarez......no wonder he evaded the checkpoint and ran from the cops. Prob had no permits, insurance, and multiple arrest warrants out on him.

We shopped a lot. Ended up with Loom and Leaf. They have two levels, firm and relaxed firm. We started with relaxed firm, but ended up swapping it out for their firm. So far so good.
It is NOT shipped in a box. It's bought online, delivered and set up for you, and they take away your old one. King size was about $1200.
Our old one was 15+ years old. Can't say this one changed my world, but seems to do the job.
