You are just doing half of a single payer.  Set up a good single payer system and be done with it already.

I don't like to force people into things they may not want. I prefer to keep it optional.

  2. 3 wives , wow , that would be tough.

Speaking of wives my wife ran out of her beer last night and asked if she could have one of mine . I said " sure you can , what is mine is yours, what is yours is mine" She thanked me and said that was so romantic and that I'm a sweetheart .

I replied , " yeah whatever , hurry up and finish that beer so we can go upstairs and play with our pussy"

The R party will look more and more Libertarian in the future. You disagree? And yes, I am a Libertarian of sorts.

Around here definatly. Most of the GOP in my state house are libertarian. Many jus don't know it yet.

  4. Take all the people on Medicaid and treat them at a VA hospital. In 5 yrs add on all the people on medicare. The estimated fraud of those 2 programs is $60 billion a yr. Without billing there can be no fraud. Use the savings to build more hospitals. Once system is fully in place allow folks to buy into that plan for small money if they so desire.

The social right is dying every time a baby boomer gets a heart attack or cancer... The right will start to look more like me. Fiscal Conservative, socially left to moderate (more likely thinking it’s not their business even if they disagree with how someone choose to live their life). The way it should be.

That would make you a libertarian. Unfortunatly for them the libertarian party has done a piss poor job of letting Americans know what they stand for. If they did they would be the largest party in the country.

Just over majority, 40% will have an outpatient ordeal and 7.6% will have an overnight stay.

We are still subsidizing 40% of those who reject insurance.  40%.

Only covering the sick is idiotic and short sighted.

    Neal

So we should spend tax money for people who will not need it? That's the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard.

And an overnight stay cost about the same as ins payments for a yr. When was the last time you had an overnight stay?

Yup, so now we are back to subsidising them though higher and higher premiums.

    Neal

No actually. The majority of them will never need more then a physical. That they can pay cash for. Before obycare when one went to the hospital and didn't pay their bill the fed gvmt would reimburse the hospitals at 72% . It sucked as a system but at least it only spent money on sick people. Obycare subsidies spend money on the sick and the healthy. I would rather my tax $ go to paying a hospital to help someone who is sick then paying a insurance company to cover the sick and the healthy.

The " we pay higher premiums because of the uninsured" was never true. Yet like many things if yelled enough , loud enough and ofton enough people will believe it.

    Where is that stat from?

Where is the 13 million number from? No one knows. its a guess nothing more , Same as my number. Only I'm willing to admit why some will lose it. Its because they choose to.
