  1. MNR lost 4 workers in helicopter accident in 2003 Similar aircraft as well..My partner who worked for them at time lost friends She had more helo time other than the pilots..Never did  she say training  or equipment was  an issue. So saying Thats not going to happen is wishful thinking. Shit happens.Best is we can learn from it.

  2. So do you guys have a policy about washing the boats from frown Zebra mussells affected areas to inland lakes that are free from them?

I have politely ask some of your brothers about this and got various responses.None of them really satisfactory.I asked the MNRF or what ever the call themselves without results You know what mnr stands for---...

Just wondering if you have an opinion on the spread invasive species. And what your dept could help .

Hey, people make more than me, people make less than me.  Want more?  Work harder, get an education, whatever.  Or become a cop, they're looking for people.  It's not as easy of a job as you think it is.

I hardly think a larger boat is extravagant when people are paying $100,000 for SUVs and Raptors.... and besides, you don't know anyone's saving or spending habits or finances, but your own.

We are aloud to express are are opinions,You do all the time.Sean has always been on honest in average vehicles. and lifestyle. Boating is I think important to him. When are you doing the circle tour? I have some of the charts.

Unfortunately I think your soggy boat didn't make it though the Mack let alone the North channel.

Modest home, pay about twice the average Gov't worker into our pensions..  I like to think I work hard for my pension.  As for the boat...like I said, modest home, no kids at home, modest vehicles, have watched how we spend and wife's salary a lot bigger than mine...

My dream is yours I would live in a shed if i could accomplish that,But shit happens.Still have IC charts.

Some don't realize that the $ take home is not all that pretty.I had 2 spousal displaced teachers that lived at my place after the wife died .That bottom line wasn't as good as it appeared. However they are doing the 52---56? factor?? making more than me.

So you wife is your boss.--at work.

Why the shot about the Alegria?  As for the price, you are somewhat off.

No shot at all. My dad grew though the industry with Erwin Zeka ho build most of the bigger Dorals.I have meet him several times, He was a fiberglass guy to the heart. Any latter model Doral was built from the heart,Hard to explain, but building boats in Canada is always been a tough go..I don't want to go further on here..abousouly no shot at the Alergia.was more of shot at your pension and retirement Sorry.Pm if you want,I,m not a surveyor but still can't get the resin off my fingernails.

Rick use to work at Upper Canada and Bonter's, I believe. I purchased my boat at UC when he was there so I continue to use them even though he contacted me and wanted me to go to Outback.

My boat is stored there and has been since new, and so far so good. That's too bad he got stolen from but with less desirables roaming around constantly, everyone is a target.

My brother in law runs a marine service in that area .Everybody knows who he is.The Odot Pdot Pdot are just to busy creating revenue to give a shit, They don't really give a shit to help the regular peps Not sure what it is. too much paper work???

We have a stolen ATV that we found with the help of a local trapper,3 days to get somebody out. We will get back to you. Turns out one of the hunt camp owners is OPP. .But we run  a local Ducky race for the community that we give half to charity. 13 years doing this and the OPP phone us and say we can't do this. All the directors of the snowmobile club will be charged.

I live just off HWY 69 and have a snowplow turnaround at the end of my road..When I go out in sleepiess at 300 in the morning and knock on the window.about light pollution, Then I think about The joy of live Alergia.

Sorry for the rant,I got to get back on working on my 1/2 mill for the Alergia.--You do no what it means??

So last time I was looking for a Alergia the price was between 250 and 700US$

Two men died after being trapped in their snow-covered vehicle overnight on the main street of Saint-Pierre-de-la-Rivière-du-Sud, in the Chaudière-Appalaches region about an hour northeast of Quebec City

One of the men made a 911 call to Quebec provincial police at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday night.

Lt. Martine Asselin of the Sûreté du Québec said the man reported the second person with him appeared to be having an asthma attack.

Asselin said ambulances were dispatched but couldn't get close to the vehicle because of the intense weather conditions.

Police then tried to reach them on Polaris snowmobiles, but those, in turn, got stuck in the snow near Exit 369 on Highway 20, about two kilometres short of the spot where the stranded vehicle was believed to be.  Private citizens arrived with Ski-Doo snowmobiles, and officers were able to reach the site.

    Police crawled, swam through snow

"Officers practically crawled through the snow — or swam through the snow," Asselin said, to try to reach the trapped men.

Asselin said police had used the 911 caller's cell phone geo-locator to find the spot, and when they arrived, they started digging for the vehicle.

"They weren't able to find it," she said. "At some point, they had to stop, because they were freezing, and their own lives were at risk.

She said the officers then retreated to a nearby home to warm up.

    Helicopter grounded by high winds

Asselin said they then explored other options.

They had to scrap efforts to get snow removal equipment from the closest town because the equipment had been damaged during operations earlier that night.

They then checked hospitals to see if the men had possibly made it out of the car themselves.

Asselin said police also considered trying to use a helicopter, but due to the weather, that was also impossible.

Finally, around 6 a.m., officers were able to make it to the area using a backhoe and found the vehicle.

The two men, aged 33 and 41, were still inside, but they were no longer alive.

The causes of death won't be confirmed until autopsies are performed.

Three other people were stranded in the area when their three vehicles became stuck. All three — two women, aged 27 and 37, and a 40-year-old man — were rescued safely by local volunteer firefighters, snowmobile club members, paramedics and police.

I saw the deceased wife on TV.I think see just did her nails and got dolled up the best she could for the interview What the hell is wrong with people..

He flew with TCA/Air Canada 1951 until 1991, in those days 60 was retirement. He then flew the Lancaster at Hamilton until 2006 retiring as the worlds oldest Lancaster pilot, he did his last solo flight in 2011 at 81.  He now flies with me.  He flew 30000 hrs and since 1948 and never bent one airplane.  Not bad I'd say....

Well good for your dad.:congrats:I'm to old and broke to take it up seriously.Any hrs I had felt good and wouldn't have taken much to get me up there. Oh well.

Had lunch with my dad today and we talked about the amount of three engine ferry flights he has done during his career at Trans Canada Airlines/Air Canada.  I had an old picture he took, late 1950's out the window of Vickers Viscount he ferried home from Cleveland on three engines.....that is the number four engine shutdown and feathered.

From YYZ to Anchorage by truck, probably thirty thousand dollars. I believe AC used the Antonov once for something and the price was much higher. The engine can be loaded and sent on it's way in a few hours. Send the guys and equipment, by the time everything gets organized it could be two days. Truck is half way there. Then by the time the old engine is on the ground the truck arrives. If truck is still not there the guys spend a day or two in the hotel and wait. Still cheaper than flying the engine on the Antonov.

The 747 is the only airplane I know of that has what is called the "fifth pod". There has to be provision built into the wing at the factory so an engine can be hung and transported that way.

Air India had a 'pod' and an engine--nothing to do with it's demise. I wonder if Puss has a pod on his doo.

When that happens here (Northern MN).  People cover their drainage fields with hay.  Lots of places sell/rent electric drain field blankets too to get it thawed out.  This is why it's important that people not ride over the drainage areas and pack the snow down. We are getting some reports of problems here too with this last cold snap after all this snow loss.

I was away for a few days which didn't help.I,m halfway up Georgian Bay and similar temps and snow to you.Hay is not an option around here. This Ontario, to plug in a blanket might as well do chapter what ever it is.:bashhead:
