they would not pay for the ice machine after my sons surgery,  asked the lady why they would not pay for that but they will pay for his rehab when he gets hooked on oxy.  it was only $500 but it was the principal.

I wasn't looking to get a pool installed in my house, but I can bet it's a hell of a lot cheaper than more surgeries and PT! Insurance won't cover simple things like dry needling, acupuncture, etc either. I find relief will all of them. But don't worry, take a few Valiums and all your problems go away! What surgery did your son have? My first surgery in 2016 they had no problem handing out pain pills like pez, but the following year they were much more strict. Surgery in NY past 2 years were limited to 10 day supplies of pain meds.

Still lots of up and down days and anxiety.  Made some difficult choices the last 6 or so months, but I hope it is for the better.

Hope things are going better for you too.

Well here’s to better days ahead! I have my ups and downs as well. Still need a new career, which isn’t easy with COVID and my health. Another CT scan Friday looking for more nerve issues I have in my face. It’s always something it seems!

Speaking of health insurance... called to ask how many PT visits I have annually and how many I’ve used. Asked if I could get an extension, was told “hard no”. Told the lady it’s one of the few things that provides me some relief, especially using a therapy pool. Nope, sorry. Asked if they would pay for one in my house, nope, sorry. “We get that question a lot though”. Yes, because it works for pain relief! But they will gladly pay for surgeries and drugs, when a damn pool helps strengthen muscle and relieve pain while being easy on joints! I just shake my head most days at all of it.

$1500-1800 out of pocket for my CT scans, 2x-4x a year.*

    *Edit: Max OOP of $6500.

I just looked up my last imaging costs.

    $153 for Xray of neck.

    $1241 for CT no contrast.

    $2223 for MRI no contrast.

I’m at 1.4 million in insurance costs this year. Roughly 2.5 million since 2016. I don’t wish my crap on anyone, I would love nothing more than my “old” self back! Hope you are doing ok yourself

I love that 150 Mpls cops are now going for disability for ptsd

then all the NYC cops saying fuck you give me my pention .

just a start of the mass exit .inner  city's will be just fucking sweet in a few yrs from now .

Citizens get to be on the hook for the underfunded pensions for 30,40+ years for each of them as well! Only 500+ million to clean up Minneapolis, and it will get destroyed again in 2021 when 3 out of the 4 cops will be found innocent! Hell of a world out there!

Invent something that kills poa trivialis but not other cool grasses and you will be a billionaire.

I'm sure the chemical companies have been trying for decades! So far no luck. Poa annua, poa trivialis, etc. Throw in some broadleaf and crabgrass control, huge yacht!

Tenacity will also kill Poa Annua if mixed properly and leave the blue and rye alone.   Poa is my Achilles heel in my yard.    Hate the fucking stuff.

Tenacity can kill everything if over applied.   Use with care.

Trimec is the best 2-4D yard week killer for just broadleafs.

Doyourownpestcontrol.com is a great place to shop for hard to get chems.

    Double post!

Both great products. POA annua is the devil for all lawns and turf managers! I strangely have a degree in turfgrass management...

And people wonder why health insurance costs so much.

I've had 2.5 million with medical insurance costs in 4 years... And I still live in tremendous pain and declining!

Autopsy said he didn’t die of suffocation

Family requested "independent" 2nd opinion autopsy. I'm sure those results will be vastly different at their 2pm press conference today. Just like they requested/picked their own black prosecutor/DA for the case.

Yeah, I thought you drove for that the big W down by Flint Hills.

You sure it was the same guy?  Must have just snapped.

He's an owner/operator, so unless he sold his truck, I'm fairly certain I know who it is.
