  1. Going to run Barrie to Haliburton via Orillia, then back thru Bracebridge, swift, Moonstone tomorrow. Any condition reports Hali way? I haven't been out there in a few years.

Apparently BRP service reps are hinting to dealers there will be some type of recall/campaign on cranks this summer.  The majority of the failures are from some bolts on the bottom end that arent torqued down correctly and loosening off.  When they fall out the bounce threw the cases.   BRP knows there is an issue.

Thanking of a typical 2s bottom end, what bolts could this poosibly be? Rod cap?

  3. I would like to for sure. Have you ridden the LE? I have alot of miles on it and the in season S and the difference in ride and handling is very pronounced. I would not have believed it if not experienced first hand.

  4. You should ride an in season 2016 S and see the difference, they are like two different machines.

It bet there is some steering effort with those C/A skis. I have SLT's on mine and a hygear spring on the FTS. I'm also trying to get the rear skid to be a bit more compliant, the one and only weakness of the machine if I had to pick something but it's soooo much better than the Proride.

  5. I'll have to re read it but what I got from their latest coloums was " hey, don't look at us we just report on what's hot and this is it so, lets embrace it and try to find ways to make off trial riders fit in"

Them and the manus are in love with it. More $$$ same build cost.

  6.

Think I know who you're talking about; they are neighbors? Cool boats but a bit extreme for those waters. Once below lock 45 they'd be in their element.

Tuff builds a nice ride. $$$ but well built, perfect for blasting Muskoka lakes.

    I have a hydrostream too.

Heck go with triples. There are a couple of brothers on our lake. About a 30 ft centre console with triple 300's on the back. They each have one.

A couple of friends have Hydrostreams and love them for go fast. Tuff boats are usually at the boat show with their 100 mph boat.

  7. Yeah I'd say maybe 2k absolute tops if it truly only had a tank of gas through it and was properly preserved. And even then it would take forever to find a buyer. Don't think it'd be even near 4k when it was new??

300 twin fan , my little guy is 8 , I don't let him drive it alone . But he'll work into it as he gets older .

    Easy to work on .

That looks like just the size I'd be looking for, looks like it uses elan skis even so pretty small. Can you still get parts and a track for them? I almost want to find something needing a track so I can pick it up less that cost and then know it's good for a awhile.

I picked up a 79 citation 300 for the kids , one thing I liked about it was the brake lever is small , so it's really easy for them . Small chassis so they feel comfortable Not fast , pretty reliable , always starts .

Is that a single cyl? Sounds like a good fit.

Don't know Doos too well after TNT RV's.  Did they even make sleds between then and the S2000?

  10. A lite I think is a little bigger than what I'm looking for. Think something between a 120 and a lite. Def on the radar in the future though as those can make an ok trail sled. Were they not all direct drive with P90 clutches?

I can wrench without issue so not worried  about the older stuff as long as parts can still be had. Grew up in the country on well worn 60's Olympiques, learned alot as a kid keeping them running..

  11. I had a F/A 400 I know all about the joys of polar fire ignition..

Been casually looking at oldies again for a kids beater but prob get outta the 70's and go Enticer, Citation or Star/Sprint if I come across one that's not completely cobbled together for top dollar.

Has been well worth it so far. I Haven't quite got all the shocks balanced together yet but the shock is definitely cable of taking away the sucker hits when you bounce over holes. It's the shock the l.es. should have all c9me with (or any sled with the dual adjuster upgrades).

Also trying to rebalance the sled for c+a skis . Got on some icey trails and with the the big carbides first time in 4 years I've missed having studs.

2881947 is the polaris part number for the kit I used. Comes with bushings Spring etc. List was 500.

    Sounds good.

I was thinking of trying a dual rate spring on the stock fts.

That could get dicey with big carbides/no studs. What model C&A do you have?
