I here good things about the Dura Tracs and the Toyo's. Never run stuff that pricey myself.

I bought GY SRA's at Crappy last year, set of 4 for $600.

This year I'm burning off my winters.

I'm running BFG AT's on my work truck but only because I found a set for $300 used....lol

    Was that an LT tire?

I did , very rarely do you see a 120 under 2, and at 17 there gone very  fast . I have never seen any 120 at 12 , this guy isn't selling it because no dad wants to spend money on a kid sled for next year at this time heading into spring with all our kid stuff we have to do for the summer .

If you got that for a grand , cleaned it up , fixed the shit , you would make a grand in six months from now .

    It's gone.

Too bad, Im headed up there tomorrow was going to try n wheel a deal if it was still avail. If it moved under it's own power worth 1k all day long.

It didn't really look that bad to me, git er runnin good n let the kids have at er... they don't care what it looks like at that age.

    Thanks for posting Stevie.

When a new sled is $18,000 and is worth $12,000 after one season, I think $4,000 for a vintage sled that will only go up in value, makes sense to people.  In adjusted dollars, that's still less than the sled was new.  Probably around $2500 in 1979 dollars, I'm guessing to buy that new.

What will they do with those new windows, if they tear the house down?  :)

I should clairify all the power to ya get what you can for em, there worth whatever someone is willing to pay and you can easily pour that kind of money into a beater to get it in top shape. Looks like a fine example if looking for a 9500. Is that a 79? Nicer (looking) seat on that one than the later models.

Ah yes the toronto market.. nice house/no house/beater house, still worth 1. Something.:)

Neither is worth that.  Although I just got $3800 for a mostly original 9500, and had 3 guys dueling over it.

    That MotoSki needs a bit o' polish ..... :)

Vintage sled prices follow real estate in T.O.? You should spend some of those top dollars you got on some new windows.

There's a reason they're $3000 less.  You get what you pay for.  :)

They're probably dumping them (selling below cost) to try to get the market back.  Easier than engineering their way out of their slump.

Yeah, this is a fine looking sled.  :lmao:  At least they got the Rev XP windshield right.

Hey that X didn't look too bad actually (IMO) and I usually hate colours like that. I thought the coolest thing at the whole show was that brochure cart you can see behind it made from sled parts. Good use of trespass special rails..

  6. Not really that much of a crowd last night. Not much to see really unless you're into mountain sleds and trespass specials. (Thanks for that line Puzzle, fits em to a t)

Go near the end of the day will be light.

There is obviously something wrong with those 850's they used in their testing.:)

I'd say the 850 has a very similar mpg to the 800 ETEC as we have similar real world findings in our group to the MXZ vs XCR in this example. This is good if the 850 truly has more HP than the 800, very efficient.

What is up with the Assault?

Sometimes they do, but I find more often not.  My annual fuel bill is around $7000 now, so I guess I get out a bit.  LOL

If I pay at the pump, it usually does ask.

Puzzle you need a bigger boat!

  9. That PRO X n' the old school Pro S were lookin' good eh Poncho?

    I liked the Winders' too.

Puzzle the turbo bolts were tight and also the well used summit with the body off had a fully intact bulkhead.

Lol still going on about 200 mile fuel stops... I must have a small tank on mine

Here we go again.. according to puzzle there is something wrong with your machine. You need to proceed to dealer and demand they repair so you can achieve the correct 238 miles/tank.

Wouldnt it have been easier to say ticket?

Yes but this is FS, things don't go easy round here.

Not many would know the colour as tickets are rare.

I like your hat Dave. :)

    Conversation.....  do tell.

Let's just say the little device they had mounted on a tripod in a nice straight section of the A trail disagreed with asshat velocities...

They were handing out blue papers as fast as they could write em. I JUST passed a couple guys 1000 ft before too, dammit. Couple coppers from North Bay, nice guys just doin their thing.

They also were hittin the exhaust system violations hard, in conversation at the base camp many had tickets for speed and or mod exhaust system. One guy I met at this radar trap on a Viper who also got a ticket actually blew something up in his chain case the next day and we trailered him down to KL. Said his wife hates snowmobiles as it is and gonna be pissed..

Yes, the posted trail speed limit is 50kph.  And OFSC trails are not our personal racetrack.........

Ah so that is why those coppers and I had a conversation on Saturday?
