I was there during both surges in Iraq and Afg. It took 120k + US soldiers to just hold each country and not lose ground.

Syria has half its population scattered to Europe. We aren’t closer to peace in Israel and Palestine. Iran is more buck than ever. Arab spring in Egypt, Libya, etc... More terror attacks in Europe and the west than ever before. So how is it better since 9/11?
