Last year at the Sportsman, we couldn't even get a drink. Was empty then also. Half-price gas made up for it though.
One year we stayed there, and they had one dinner choice- spaghetti. It was kind of ridiculous. The place used to be reasonably priced, but is really inflated now. They even used to have a hot tub in the tower, and you could drink all night in it. We used to stay there for around $40 a night, maybe 15 years or so ago.
I think longer.....time flies!

Lots of sledding left!

I don't post trail reports very often, but when I do they are very accurate. I appreciate when other sledders who ride the trails do the same.
OFSC trail map is used as a guide for me, when I see red, I ask questions on FS and usually someone responds.

This trail is red on the OFSC map between Foleyet and Timmins, Does anybody know whether this trail is passable or closed for the season?
Thanks in advance!

Lake of Bays is well tracked from Dorset to Deerhurst now. Staked from Deerhurst to the 1st portage, and trails have a nice ice base under the snow. A little more snow will make the trails perfect, but the season is starting to look pretty good!
Safe riding,
Cheers!

For the record, it is hit and miss on that bearing. Including the shitty suspension bearings. I think the bearing suppliers are using Vasoline instead of high temp grease. I'm really doubting the bearing suppliers and I've toasted dozens on my Doo's and Poo's in the last 5 or 6 years. That axle bearing needs a grease fitting as well. Northstar Performance make a cover with a grease fitting on it for the Poo. You could tap a grease fitting into the existing housing you have now and before closing up the assembly remove the outer grease seal on the new bearing. Grease it every 500 miles or monthly.
Seriously, you mean I have to carry a grease gun in my saddle bags now.......lol

dorset all red now
Lots of tracks on Kushog! The only reason Dorset could be red is because of fallen trees from Tuesday night???? It will be good this weekend! Just go!
