I have no idea if any actually drank the product, most homes on the island pumped to a cistern holding. The fluid was use for house irrigation. Some I believe discharged to the canal.  The ecosystem is beyond regulatory guidance but necessary to protect.

It like I said living in such an environment has high cost not only to build but maintain. The sheer level of air born salt was very corrosive to every thing.  Stainless Webber grill left out side wood be a pile of junk in less then two year's.  Building cost are average cost for structures to comply with all aspects from wind to environmental was $450. Per square foot.  Did I enjoy life there yes. But the life in other areas of Florida are just as good some aspects better.

    How did it change it?

Volume of people but more the stigma many tried to portray. Either they acted like 10 cent million airs or Jimmy Buffett want a be.  Early on it was quite basic fishing area. The biggest attraction for most is to say i live on an island. Water is wonderful to look at but it's at a cost hawks Kay would tell people to dive around the island you eventually felt like a side show. People thought nothing of walk on are property even go behind the house and take  pictures of them selves on my dock few time on one of the boats. Eventually I fixed that with a shepherd.

The community of duck key push hard for a gate at the first bridge over the canal. It was shut down by hawks Kay. Later it was discovered all homes on island had to hookup to under ground septic at 26k per home. It was later discovered after all homes complied that the the development pushed to recover it's under ground utility cost the county pushed it through for monthly payments.  The kicker was the septic design of each home was far better environmentally then the main treatment plant. Each home had an aerobic system once contaminate left the system it was drinking water quality.

I liked duck key...my wife and I stayed at Hawks Cay there quite a few times over the years.

I found nassau to be much nicer then freeport....both were too busy for my liking though.

    Turks n Caicos is perfect.

If you walk the dock back of the town home not the marine side. You looked at my house.  Hawks Kay changed the environment and life style drastically.  The house was on east sea view drive. Often the condo

Would rent out bikes for folks to ride about the island. But. Never mentioned you had to back ride to get back. Can't count how many little kids and parents I drove back to the hotel.

While he did steal a car, nearly run over an officer and then slam into a patrol car but at the point does he as unarmed fleeing suspect deserve to be shot in the back and killed? Seems as if the officers were trigger happy and on the video you can hear them ask in confusion if the suspect shot at them....bad deal all the way around.

The law considers a car as a weapon when used as force.  I wasn't there so I'll what to have more of an opinion.  Sometimes stupid people die by be to stupid.

  6. Amazing on one hand  a few feel the government should have complete control. In this case the epa. Then I think about flint and suddenly I understand why the other side wants state control.  Florida has handle its affairs well, but the algae issue is larger then one part should handle. It requires joint effort. I'm that should be the role of the epa not blanket control.

      Walker has helped the state.

Well you like to focus on the negative of one while we focus on the negative of the other. The difference being in the Republican states they have lower economic activity and lower wages. Where do you live?

Location has zero to do with this.  Put up some credible support and ill agree.

Don't be silly you have known me for years online.

Funny how the brain washed retards keep doubling down on the Republican policies even with historical example after example of utter failure. Yet they are embracing Trump's liberal rhetoric because well, he's a Republican...

Your using your big brush again.  Of this topic neither you or mileage have post evidence of economic growth or improvement beyond the sole benefits of government to government. Wonderful comparison of two different economic segments to prove one narrow narrative.  Expand and you will find  negative impact.

Models are built on pass historical events and global economic events the latter is more true of today. The term trickle down is old and the other forms of economic management aren't to far behind.

Cali raised taxes on those who could most afford it, KS and LA went with the trickled on theory of cutting taxes to the wealthy, the results are real world. In any sane world successful models are duplicated and improved upon, failed models are discarded and tossed into the trash heap of history.

Vincent all three are completely different makeup across the board.  Calling the out come successful v.s the other isn't more then personal views.  Is today's economy different from decades prior yes.  Has and does government harm areas of growth yep. Any one that claims otherwise is being selective
