my Dr kept telling me I had sports injuries (I raced cars lol) or I had juvenile arthritis. finally he was on vacation and a PA looked at my chart before he even said a word to me writes me a script for doxycycline and hands it to me. says I got the lyme and I better go fill that script and take my first dose before they even do the test. was better in a week. to this day I swear lyme is the reason I have seizures.

other than sprays, they also say light colors attract ticks more. I pulled 18 off my white golden from one trip up mt tom walking on a closed road. got bit a few weeks ago again and had them write me a script on the spot.

my neighbor had a few boxers when I was a kid that were evil(so was he for that matter). after getting my leg grabbed playing in my back yard we resorted to taking pot shots at them with the BB gun whenever they got loose  

my current golden I can't trust anymore... he's getting really cagey with strangers. always been shy but now he's getting to the point he's aggressive. spent lots of time trying to keep him social with people so I don't have to worry about it. Now just working in a public place I have to tell people to stay away because until you get within ten feet he looks like he wants to be your best buddy.

managed to get up there a few times. was tough early year as my father is being treated for leukemia. only did rides two up with my son, but after the year I had with my own father I was happy to do it. conditions have been amazing and we had like 3ft of snow on the trails.
