  1. Where I work our dress code says absolutely no denim.  Over half of men and some women wear jeans every day.  They send out manager memos about the dress code and there's no change.  Why?  Because it's 2016 and no one cares if you're wearing a suit and tie anymore.  Even one of the division managers wears dressy jeans with leather office casual shoes every day.

I got pretty pissed the other day.  Foreman was trying to figure out how to string pipe down a Boulevard with driveways.  Many were gravel and one guy who just started suggested getting the landowner permission  to dig trenches in their driveway, throwing plates over top and then restoring the driveway after they installed the pipe.  I thought it was pretty bright and it was cheaper than installing smaller chunks at a time.  The foreman told him to STFU he's not allowed to have ideas, he's paid to throw pipe and dig holes.  The more ideas presented, the better chance of finding the best option, period.  His decision  was to just string it out and hope no one complained.  Piss poor attitude if you ask me.  Everyone's opinion should be valued.

  2. Nothing going wrong with asking.  I think a simple "no" from management would have been appropriate.  No reason to fire anyone.  I think the best way to do it would have been to wear shoes like the guy who broke code and if you're questioned just act as if you thought it was OK because you saw someone else (don't name) wearing them.  Lots of places have dress codes that aren't enforced.

A little bad grammar isn't bad.  You had run-on sentences that could have been made in to 2-3 separate ones.  I actually had to try to see where one thought ended and the next began.

Very strange that an idiot with so many major issues with the house would paint a fence. I think that says it all.

She painted it but they're now divorcing.  First thing he did was fix the rotting soffit and fascia.  I think it'll look better after she's gone.

  5. Neighbor to the east has 100 Sq ft of stucco chipped off the side of his house.  Roof leaks, addition sinking, yard generally has garbage which blows onto mine.  Painted their side of the fence without asking which ran into my side.  Had a couch and mattress in the yard for months before hauling it away.  Neighbor behind me looks not much older than me with a 10yo son.  She's been here 2 yrs but still has Alberta plates and left her friend in her car in -28 when she was drunk.  Other than that can't complain.  Not the nicest neighbourhood but it's quiet and taxes are cheap.

  6. It'd be a terrible idea.  All the people who are mentally unstable and want to kill would take out those who don't want to harm anyone.  And don't think the "no entering private property" rule would have any effect, people would still break in and kill innocents.  If you really wanted to do it, have it in an old mall or large complex that can be closed off completely. Have it surrounded by armed guards and no one gets in or out.  Maybe a safe zone with guards for people who think they're tough but realize they're not and other than that if you're in the kill zone you're fair game on each other.

What's that ? I have a 2016 F150 but have no idea what that is lol

Through Bluetooth I mean.  Mines an 06 and I have yet to have a vehicle with the ability to link a mobile device, wireless or wired.  With the new GMs you can turn your touchscreen into your phone, looks the same.

  8. They have an "auto-renew only" policy and jack your rates way up if you don't remember when it's finished.  I had 12 months at $7 a month then all of a sudden it was $240 for 12 months all one lump sum.  They won't let a subscription lapse either.  I ended up getting it reduced but not to what it was before.  Can't wait to get a new truck, going with synced Internet radio instead.

  9. Things levelling off here which is bittersweet.  It's great for buyers, first time and those who are trading up.  But I don't know if I could make all they money I've put into my place back.  Plus trying to rent it is going to be tough, doubt I could cover the mortgage, property tax, and house insurance for what I could charge monthly.
