Just wondering how you came to this conclusion from your post?  The last tax cut made (by liberals)  you all claimed it really wasn't a tax cut :dunno:

Liberal Party Leader Justin Trudeau said he would gradually raise the threshold of income that’s exempted from tax from the current level of around $12,000 to $15,000 for most Canadians. The benefit would start to phase out for those earning more than $147,000 a year, with those making more than $210,000 completely excluded.

Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer, on the other hand, is proposing to cut the tax rate on income up to around $47,000 from 15 per cent to 13.75 per cent over four years.

Both plans would amount to around $300 in yearly tax savings for the average taxpayer once fully implemented, according to Smart. But the policies affect different types of households differently, he added.

“The Liberal proposal is more equitable. It delivers about the same tax assistance to most taxpayers,” he said. About 20 million families would save the same amount, he estimates.

Under the Conservative plan, only Canadians who earn at least about $50,000 a year would receive the full benefit of the tax cut. That’s around 10 million taxpayers, with another six million who would see some tax savings but not the maximum amount, according to Smart.

the Basic amount must rise sooner or later - so I like that idea

I like the first rate dropping by 1.5 points too

according to your post the savings are about the same

jagmeet shouldn't be trying to raise the top 1% taxes to pay for the other tax reduction, its far better to have this increase the deficits like the CPC and LIBS instead of on the backs of the wealthy

This isn't the entire story about tax relief -

CPC to bring back in-come sprinkling, TFSA increased to 10.5k  and reduce OAS to same ages under Harper.  Also bring back tax breaks for your kids soccer/ect

certainly works for some while taking 1000's from millions

Liberals to increase your OAS at age 75 by 10% to help with rising costs

Increase CPP payments to spouses survivor benefits from next to nothing to 60%

tax free maternity and parental leave

There is lots to talk about here, but than again you can't be a ONEWAY and just say Scheer is better

Post your findings of all these freebies

Nothings free-no free lunch as long as there's a deficit-no common sense!

Oddly, this is not exciting, new, or progressive. It is simply common sense. Can it be sold to a bunch of fucking retards that we otherwise call the electorate in Canada?

Apparently common sense eludes most individuals!

interesting - do you feel Ontario fared well during the recession and going unscathed?  I am betting not :dunno: even knowing Canada results are nothing more than Provincial numbers.....

The economy today is also far better than is was just 4 years ago - this is more facts

the ONEWAY is big in you

Debt is much higher-everywhere-not good in a downturn!

    Tax cut?

only an the dumb would believe that allowing people to keep an extra 3 or 4% of their tax money now and paying back 7% on the debt later is a tax cut.

Serious issues for CANADA if the stupid are allowed to continue

So right on-borrow today to repay with interest -sometime-brilliant strategy-wake up dumb people=no free lunch!

scheer unclear on his tax cuts he is saying everyone

We do know he will cut the most wealthy persons in Canada taxes

MUSK and SK should be voting against this since they insist paying back the debt is the most important thing to get done -  but we know ONEWAYS will vote for CPC either way and debt only counts when its a Liberal government ( and not the one in the 90's that doesn't count either   )

Balance budget first then cut taxes-not B 4!

  8. 3 hours ago, 1trailmaker said:

14billion today :dunno:   and if you believe the 10 billion deferred by Harper its looking okay so far and the country is booming

Debt is debt-needs to be balanced in the 'so-called' good times-basic eco you & other socialists don't understand!

  9. 1 hour ago, 1trailmaker said:

Then we wouldn't be giving tax cuts

Musk say you owe $1000 and you are only making $950, at this point you don't look for a wage that is lower to help you out :dunno:

this example shows you would never pay your debt and it will just get worse - you must increase your wages in this case

like I said you have ZERO interest in paying your portion of debt back - you are quite happy for someone else to do it for you

Total jibberish-as I said B 4-I've paid millions in taxes in my life-taken very little!

    Exactly

Harper claimed the same thing and failed 6 years in  a row

it really isn't relevant and rarely accomplished (only Liberals have accomplished this goal federally)

timing is everything - so right now with the USA spending like a drunken sailor (worst President ever) we have no hope in balancing anything any time soon

It's extremely relevant as it frees up $ for other areas than debt & interest expenditures!

The only reason we have this great country is from graduated taxes system-  we wouldn't be here without it

saying that ANDREW has also promised stuff, his ads state lots for the lower end wage earners -

giving huge tax breaks to the wealthy (like Donny has done) will kill any chance of balance and puts us in more trouble and debt

you talk big about debt but really as long as someone that needs it doesn't get any you are good with all debt - its the reason you feel harper was so great - he gave to the rich and charged the debt to the less wealthy :dunno:

    Scheer's just taking back Dopey's 53%!

  12. 59 minutes ago, 1trailmaker said:

Max said 2 years and Andrew and the rest said 5 years (this includes Trudope)

so for your ONEWAY vote it will be more than just one term

it was stated last night live :dunno:

Dopey doesn't have a clue-he'll never balance it-he's never had to balance his bank acc.!

  13. 3 hours ago, Sksman said:

Why does only Andrew have to deliver a platform?

Delivering a platform that you can actually accomplish and providing a bullshit uncosted  platform based on handouts to every group are two different things.

NDP, Liberals, Greens all they do are promise tax the rich give to poor.  Peter Pan theme is great fairy tale but will not build a country.

Correct-@ least Scheer & Bernier promise to balance the budget leading to tax cuts for all-the way it should be-no class warfare!

so will Doug Ford beat Wynne if he is in long enough

not sure of your point?  If you think we only have deficit due to recessions you are incorrect -   matter of fact Conservative cuts cause all recessions so far isn't that why they only happen under Con governments?

Because Conservative's have to clean up/rein in reckless Lieberal spending of taxpayer's $!

...or any other day. just looking at the government web site that disposes of assets. 2 Brand new 2014 Mitsubishi suvs for sale. One has 9 km the other has 40kms. They were bought for police with our money and left to sit for five or six years and now will be sold for 25% of what the taxpayer paid. Pretty sure some guy named Steve had paperwork on his desk to get thm over to a detachment but was too caught up debating politics on a sled site to finish the paperwork, so they simply sat. That is until an intern picked up the six foot pile of paper that was on his desk and had fallen to the floor. She took notice of these new vehicles and they are no useless to th cops and must be sold. Keep up the good work Steve.   https://www.gcsurplus.ca/mn-eng.cfm?snc=wfsav&sc=enc-bid&scn=348280&lcn=496308&lct=L&srchtype=&so=ASC&sf=ferm-clos&lci=L496308&str=1&ltnf=1

Typically pathetic abuse of taxpayer's $!!!

    that is ANDREWS new ad

more money for everyone - its that simple (he is learing from the Slogan Master Ford no plan just a nice slogan)

Musk the debt isn't going away ever - its that simple

Increasing it continues to be Lieberal lunacy taking $ away from valuable program spending
