In this area we have 100's of Lakes and wife & I are on many each year, it is somewhat rare to see many Yamaha's, see mostly Merc's and a few Honda's.

Aren't you from Wisconsin where merc's are made?

I see by far more yamahas than anything else, except for bass boats which most have Merc's. And when I go to the coast it's like 50:1 Yamaha.

    Mercury is the market leader

I recently read that Yamaha has 40% market share, so there's no way Merc has more than that.

  2. There's a whopping 1 white supremacist on FS and I even hesitate to call Z-notty one because I think it's an act for attention.

Same as society. There may be a few white supremicists left in the south but it's not running rampant like the media has people believing.

well, I assumed there would be a somewhat noticeable front end weight difference between the 900 and the 900T, just a matter of how much.

My dad went from a 900 to a 900T this year and he hasn't told me it feels any heavier. He had some handling issues at first like I did, but it wasn't weight related, and we got rid of them with some suspensions adjustment and changing to different skis & carbides.

does the turbo really make it feel that much heavier? The NA 900 I rode didn't feel heavy at all.

You actually took buttcocks ride report seriously?

Difference between the NA and turbo is only like 20 lbs. Its not noticeable on trail. Off trail it is.

As for the ITC, you're going to hate it if you take it for a quick spin. It takes a couple hundred mile rides to get used to it. I don't mind it at all now.

The sxs"s are selling like hotcakes. After 20yrs of atv"n and getting older it was getting tougher on us and the sxs is more comfortable and alot more fun. I drove a buddies all day and we we got out of it without aches and pains and that made our decision to get one. I use it as a car up here lol

I still prefer an ATV. I actually think they’re more fun because you can throw them around easier and it feels more like a sled/bike than a car. But I still wish I could have a SxS too. My dads new General is an awesome machine. The ride is so plush and the seats are rediculously comfy.

So doo comes out with a nice new guage for 21 and it completely gets blown away by poos new guage.   Sucks for them!

Doo one looks like shit to me. Small numbers/letters, it sounds like it’s hard to use, and you gotta use that stupid dial down on the console to adjust things.

I like the premium gauge on my ‘20. Simple design but shows me everything I need at once. Leave the GPS for Garmin to perfect. I want advancements in motors, ride & handling not a freakin gauge that’s more like a tablet.

  7. The trail system I ride in NH doesn’t open until Memorial Day weekend. Last year it got delayed until June because there was still snow on the ground in May and it has to dry up after that.

We keep commenting on how many new Cats we DO see on the trails the last couple of years. It seems like a lot more than in the past

I would like to see a new chassis or a modified one. We have had a couple of Procross and still have one. I decided to try an Axys a couple of years ago even being a big Cat guy. It was hard to get excited about buying another sled in the same procross chassis so I said fuck it and tried something else for once. I like both chassis but I much prefer the Axys ergonomics. I wish Cat had more playfulness in the chassis like Axys does, though the planted Cat chassis is flatter on the trails.  That difference in playfulness is probably the biggest factor in keeping the Axys right now. In fact that and the ergos are the only thing I can think of that I prefer over a Procross.

I’ll probably ride this thing until Cat tweaks the chassis more or comes out with a new one.  What I have seen first hand and found amusing is some of the crap that Polaris puts out and then listen to the hardcore Poo fans knock Cat parts and quality control. Polaris is absolutely no better. Super fun sled but unlike when on a Procross, I literally worry the front end is going to fold up like a tin can at times.

i have zero interest in a G4.  Even if it was the best sled on the snow, which I would strongly disagree with, I couldn’t take walking out and looking at it everyday. Who goes out and buys the ugliest vehicle they can find to park in the garage. I never thought Doo would continue to make their sleds look worse year after year. That’s not being brand biased. They simply look like shit.

I don’t see how anyone can call the G4 ugly. It’s not on the level of the ProCross and Axys which are downright sexy. But we haven’t seen a truly ugly chassis since the Barney, Fusion, and Freestyle.

Chuck eyes were $7lb at Safeway yesterday. That seemed high.

That’s what they seem to normally be here. Occasionally I see them on sale for $4-5/lb. even at $7/lb they are a bargain for how good they are IMO. I barely eat ribeyes anymore except at restaurants.

  10. I don't know a single person other than completely blind brand loyal guys that are still buying new Cats. The reliability reputation of the ProCross and the fact that it's 10 years old are the main reasons.

And as much as I hate Ben, he hits the nail on the head with the knee issue. I simply can't get comfortable on that chassis. You don't feel connected to it like the G4 and Axys.
