Vermont officials: Snowmobilers must follow COVID-19 rules

BURLINGTON (AP) - Snowmobilers can still enjoy the sport in Vermont this winter amid the coronavirus pandemic as long as they abide by the governor’s emergency orders.

The Vermont Association of Snow Travelers announced this week that out-of-staters can come to Vermont and snowmobile if they quarantine for 14 days in their second home or rented home in Vermont.

They can also quarantine for seven days and then get a negative COVID-19 test report.

This winter, riders must also stay in their family groups, follow social distancing and wear masks whenever they take off their helmets.

Absolutely fucking insane. VT will be losing a lot of riders this year and the few who will still be supporting them will be almost surely breaking those rules because they’re totally unfeasible. Riding partners must live in your household? Lmao. How many people strictly ride with their wife and kids? 5%? How is riding ALONE out in the woods in the middle of winter now the safe thing to do? When your sled breaks down with no cell service what do they want you to do? Must put your mask on once you take your helmet off? Wtf. And then the 14 day quarantine...how many people can afford to use 28 sick days from work before and after a weekend of sledding?

    Fuck Vermont.

    The racists work here everyday

Yet you’re still here associating with us so called “racists.” Your party would be pissed at you if they knew. Best for you to leave this site.

  3. Most of the young guns and weekend warriors around here are buying big mountain sleds and crossovers even if they don’t actually do much or any off trail riding. I think those are the kinds of people that used to buy big HP hyper sleds.

Personally, 200hp is overkill for anything I ride. And it’s sitting in a 9 year old sub par Cat chassis with poor build quality. No thanks.

  4. This is so fucked up. The guy specifically got asked about it in an interview and answered honest that he doesn’t support kneeling during the anthem, gets completely trashed for it, and is basically forced to apologize.

And this is a guy that is clearly NOT a racist. With all he has given to New Orleans...

Since he isn’t here and I know why because he posted it at TBP...The White Supremacist bullshit being posted by Phoenix and a few others pissed him off....I don’t blame him a bit for leaving.

From the person who tells people on here to kill themselves all the time and wishes harm on police, that’s pretty ironic.

what, you rose from the gutters and made it all on your own?

So only people born into poverty have a right to protest anything?

Because you never stood up for anything you think protesting is gay.

The Boston Tea Party was a protest, The Suffragettes were protesting, The Bonus Marchers were Protesting, the Civil Rights movement in the 60's was a protest, the Vietnam War Protests, etc.......all had an effect on life in the USA. Of course you would need to have a sense of history to understand that.

Comparing those to today’s protests is asinine. Slavery and segregation were actual things. Police brutality against blacks is a rediculously overblown conspiracy theory.

  7. Because protesting is gay. Anyone who takes time out of their life to stand out in public shouting and holding up signs is a fucking loser!  And that goes for any kind of protester.

Plus people cannot keep blocking public roads...

  8. Most states are 65". One of my friends told me Maine is only 60", but I doubt they would actually enforce it unless there's gates everywhere and the 62-64" machines are so popular.

The general is a sweet machine. My dad got one last year and I'm pretty jealous. The seats are comfier than any car I've been in and it rides like a Cadillac. Great power too.
