The motor is shipped fully assembled from Japan. Fact.

And that's the sidewinder version of the Riot. Not the new sled.

Is the red 2-up in the ProCross chassis the new sled?

Yeah got lots of ricer faggots trying to drive snowmachines now a days

Not everyone has interstate wide and straight trails to need a 150-200 hp rocket ship. And why settle for the unneeded extra HP when you have to spend $15k on it and run 91 octane and the thing weighs a ton.

Looks like skidoo has the four stroke market locked up. But really I don't think most snowmobilers really want them, except for the turbos.

I 100% disagree. I rarely see Sidewinders on the trails. They’re just not practical unless you ride Quebec. I see far more 1200’s, vectors, 1100’s, even the old T660 turbos still floating around and those sleds are all discontinued now and had their flaws so what does that say?

    I think the 09 TNT 1200 was 499 lbs dry. It’s 2019...is a 1000 ace HO with 120-130hp 480 lbs not reasonable?

Same here, except turbo renegade. Prob gonna buy 6.9’s so I’ll get red loops. Still might get the green after I see it in person. Looks like shit in the dealer show pics though.

I,ve got a good buddy that owns both, he prefers the Sidewinder, and says the 900 turbo is twitchy and not as planted on the front end. He previously had an 850 doo, and found that twitchy at high speeds, and got rid of it after owning it for only 2 weeks. They were kinda scarce, so he sold it for more than he paid for it.

He said it has some punch down low, but lacks power once you get to around 70 mph, and squeeze it, you,re kinda waiting for something to happen, and it ain,t happening.

The Sidewinder has it all, from trail speeds, to top end, and all the way thru, no matter when you squeeze it, it,s there, and happy to give you all the power you may want. Too much, is never enough.

I cann,t imagine going to a lower  powered sled, and from what I see on Totally Yamaha, very few guys that own Sidewinders or Thundercats say the same thing. Kinda like the good kinda crack, once you,ve had it, hard to give it up.

So the sidewinder is more powerful from bottom to top?...no way!!!

The 900T is outselling the Winder because it’s lighter, handles better, rides better, the ergos are better, and it’s not an arctic cat.

  5. The lesters and their best in class awards are a joke. Just like all the rags they give the awards to the newest sled and they spread the wealth around to all the manufacturers. I loved how they always gave the 'best 4 stroke' award to Yamaha because it was like the only category they could win.

Fuck skidoo and their gay ass red accents, looks like a bloody gash.

Bout time they update their old ass gauges. Any factory gps like polaris?

Anyone who buys a built in GPS on their sled is a fucking retard. You can get a simple to use and more advanced Nuvi with a big screen and a great map program for $150 and still be able to use it in future sleds, your ATV, and your car.

Love this color.  It's bad ass in person.

You work for Doo now? I didn’t think they had their 1st show til next week. Sometimes the colors we think look rediculous online turn out great in person. And all black sleds looks great on the computer but I think it’s boring on snow. :dunno: I’ll still probably end up with the black one though. Maybe at some red to it.

Stuck going up a hill smh. Give her some throttle. I put 10k or so in NH with no studs only time a hill was an issue was going up to magalloway tower.

More throttle makes you spin and slow down silly. You were probably one of those guys that stayed in the Pittsburg bubble all the time too where it's all logging roads.

If you get stuck on an icy hill with an ice ripper you just suck at riding.

Are there even any hills on the trails around old forge? I never came across much of any in the northern adirondacks.

  8. After trying the 900T last spring I was a little disappointed. Not sure if it was just the limited test ride (couple mile donkey trail) or the fact that it was a pre-production model with bad clutching and stock carbides. But after today’s demo I’m sold on it. I put 70 miles on it with everything from a rail bed to whooped up woods trails to fields to steep hills. Only thing missing was a lake and deep snow. It just does everything better than my 1200. It’s heavier on paper but somehow it feels lighter, no inside ski lift, rides great, ergos are better, and the power is smooth but takes off like a raped ape.

On a side note, anyone not running studs in NH or VT is a retard. Besides almost killing myself in icy corners today I almost got stuck on this thing going up a steep hill covered in ice.

All it is is eye candy. With the junk they put out it’s like we’re down to 1.5 manufacturers.

Looks nice, Reevester. What's the story with the last pic, namely what looks like a light under the belly pan on it's right side?

    That’s the new firecat.

There is no such thing as too much power if you know how to operate your own thumb... And I'm the asshole who rides a 600 and brags he'll beat anyone on any trail with turns and/or bumps.

Yes there is. The winder is is a whole other class power wise than anything else and with its weight and the way the track spins in loose snow it’s a handful on 95% of our trails in NH and VT. It’s a great Quebec sled.

I laugh at all the idiots that say they have something with too much power. If you don,t have the disciple to control the throttle, and the brake, don,t buy it.

Nothing says you have to run a sled at full pin, all the fukking time. It,s nice to have the power on tap, if the conditions and location allow you to give it a full squeeze. I run a sled with 240 HP. It goes 30 mph thru twisty trails without a problem. If you want to pass your buddies on a lake, it can also do that, without any problems as well.

I generally agree in that it’s nice to have the extra power on tap for certain situations even if your trails don’t allow it most of the time. But there’s a point where it becomes TOO MUCH unneeded power and that’s the 200hp winder.

I really like the power modes on my ITC 1200 because on technical trails in sport mode the throttle is too sensitive and in deep snow it spins too much. That’s when I cut it down to standard. The 900T is the same.

Does your vector have power steering? sorry I didnt see your above post. So it doesnt have power steering.. I can say this,, Coming off a 121" and 129"Nytro and going to a 137" 2 stroke.. My nytro probably takes 80% more steering effort than my 137" polaris.. I never have sore shoulders anymore..

The Nytro was kind of a bitch to steer because of the steering post angle not being vertical like most sleds. I had an 09 121”.

If I go the 2 stroke route I'd most likely stick with 600 class sleds. I still haven't taken a 1200 Doo with R-Motion for a ride yet but would definitely do so prior to making any sort of a purchase. I'd also like to try a 900 T just to see what those are like as well but I also want to stick with a 129 skid, nothing longer, or else I'd be into a new trailer as well.

Check out the regular NA 900 ace too. Most people who come from 600’s and vectors seem to be satisfied with the power. They are quite a bit lighter than a vector and 1200 so they handle much better. I have a 137” 1200 now and I love the sled but I ride a lot of tight and twisty trails and it will wear you out a bit on a 100+ mile day. The 900 turbo isn’t any lighter either.

  13. It’s been another up & down winter in the Northeast. We still have a good amount of snow where I am, but if we didn’t have several big warmups including one where we got 2.5” of rain, we’d be so buried right now.

The only consistently great winter we’ve had in recent years was 2015. The rest have been bipolar.
