It took 8 long years to get them to this point, and if oil never dropped, they never would have been able to. If one was to be truthful about it, this is the direct result of the IMF and world bank. The influence they have, and the way that policy in nations involved with the IMF and world bank then set policy to squeeze the country. When oil dropped in price, they could not longer survive under the sanctions. sad but true. Pay up and let us rape your resources, or we will starve your people. It really has nothing to do with socialism, other than that the oil was nationalized.
