Come on man there is no way Yammie will build a sled specifically for 1320' that is a naturally aspirated 850 4 stroke.   You need to quit listening to whomever you are.

My guess Yammie may have an SRX but it will the the lower version of the Sidewinder like cat did with the TCat.  They will still offer the Sidewinder as is with maybe some new gauges and controls.

That is the best guess I have heard yet.  Shuffle the parts bin a little and fabricate a bit of hype.  Pretty typical Yamaha launch.

I give them credit for launching the turbo, there's substance there, but not much else in the last how many years.

Just went and looked.....no aero or cut seat. That is really getting it done in 2500' ......like said in the thread though. Lots of tips and tricks and little things to make a sled go that fast

    Really impressive though

It does look like it has a lot of tweeks.  Any idea what's with the pipe coming out of the clutch side panel?  The exhaust should be on the other side of the sled.

Well, the only ones I know want the zook back for the modifications.  They’re all turbo-tards.  Fucking weirdos.

I've never understood the big HP hang out on the lake all day thing.

These days, a lightweight 150HP gets me just about everywhere I have the talent to have any business being.  200HP for a drift busting field monster sounds fun, but I have been know to use poor judgement with my right thumb.  Probably best I not go there.

Yeah. That thing sounded like a tractor

A friend made the catastrophic error of ordering a 2012 high country 1100T.  I remember thinking WTF WAS THAT the first time he went ripping by..... and not in a good way.  250 feet later, he blew the 17th belt.

We didn't borrow....we negotiated for that 4stroke..  I'll bet you can't find one single person that wouldn't go back to the Zook for the 1100.  Not one.

Whoa, wut?  You saying everyone would rather have the Zuky, Gazoo sitting on a fart cushion sounding motor over the Yammie triple?

Seen one of these at the races on Saturday. What a gorgeous sled. Best looking on the market right now. Too bad Yamaha fucking sucks

That's a pretty sexy field bustin, warm up shack boozin, snowmachine.   You know you wannit.  :bc:

How they doing racing them?  I see they are putting up some 150MPH ice runs.

    Would be 9500+... maybe 10,000

it would rip for sure. Best 4 stroke motor to be put in a sled. But doodoo would never stand for it

Yammie got 150 out of the Apex, so another 20% displacement in the 1200 could theoretically give you 20% more power, BUT, you would need the 10,000 + rpms and gear reduction to get the clutch speeds into the efficient range.  Not to mention the Belarus like construction of the internals of the 1200 triple would likely self destruct at sustained high RPM's.

Poo has come a long way....and only a half dozen years or more behind the rest of the OEMS on mils.

    No.

There isn’t much out there.  Not one single warranty claim for motor failure in the first year of its intro.  Just gotten better from there.  I’m a strong “zook” supporter myself but, I can’t deny the facts of what Cat has made with their new mil.  They may have other issues but motors isn’t one.

  Now you are guzzling the purple jizz.

Man, I love you and because I love you I can tell you this:  you’d have a hard time finding lifelong Poo guys that will tell you that Poos mil is as good or better than AC’s or Doos.

I think reliability is the #1 thing these days.  If one gives up 5 hp to another, WGAF.  Get me back to the truck and not cause me to lose the few days a season I have to ride.  The rest is personal preference.

The Doo teams are definitely having fuel/motor problems.  No way to know whats happening at this moment in the race with the teams towing but almost all the doo teams have been having runability problems all week.

The Polaris teams have been having Jackshaft problems.  The leaders had to change a jackshaft this morning.  Took 20 minutes.  Looks like the girls have scratched also.  They replaced a jackshaft going north.  Not sure what took them out.

Kinda strange considering the Doo would be the same old etech 600.  Not like it's a new package or anything.

Yea, Todd puts up with a lot of shit.  I couldn't do it either.

He got pretty banged up a few years back in a sled accident, no?   He must have healed right up if he’s back racing.
