Everyone, including the racers, knows who won the race.  So that would be 5 for Doo, 3 for Poo.  SBYL  :)

    Ummm....no....but nice try.

I could care less what brand won, it's the driver/team that won.

Put Tucker Hibbert and his crew on any brand and they will likely win.

It has been proven before when Blair Morgan rode for both Doo & Cat.

Hey Fuzzy..... half of the top ten finishers were on weak Doos.  How on earth did those XRS bulkheads stay together over 2000 miles of Iron Dog?

    How many Sidewinders finished?  :lmao:

    Top ten;

    Cat; 2

    Poo; 4

    Doo; 4

Doesn't appear to be half are Doo's  :dunno:

    (DQ's don't count)

No sign of any 600cc Sidewinders :snack:

I used to ride from Port Severn to North Bay and back when I went to school up there, trails were always pretty good.

imo Ben, you'll be fine. I've been riding yellow trails from Parry Sound north for the last month.

They were likely yellow due to a few washouts that were literally non-existent last weekend.

Everything had been groomed prior to the rain/freezing rain this week, we have had snow since.

    Okay so Ardbeg it is?

If leaving from Port Severn you will have to head towards Bala and then work back to the "C"

There is a stretch of the "C" north of you still showing red.

Everything from My place in Nobel north to Ardbeg is good to go.

From their you are on the lakes pretty much to Loring which are now staked.

Would not head to Ardbeg, last weekend Wawashkesh and Island lakes not staked so unless you are familiar with area easy to get turned wrong way.

Trail 600 is now showing limited, it was red earlier in the week.

Update; Club has confirmed lakes have been staked along trail 600

Up C or C alt. Across C104D to Ardbeg where we had the raw chicken, then take 600 to D102C or keep taking 600 to the AR510. Tons of lakes from Ardbeg to Port Loring takes no time at all.

This, The lake trails went to limited last night. (-25c this morning)

Oh, and pass on the raw chicken......

Even if its a 129 base model that seems really cheap?   Not calling bullshit but my buddy who is a Cat dealer says that is below cost on the cheapest model of 9000 even with all the rebates and holdback out.

    This.....

Another friend just bought a out of the crate, brand new, 2017 ZR9000 for 16K, OTD.

If that is taxes in, that's a smokin' deal!

    What version? 129 or 137?

  9. I bought an '05 anniversary Fusion in '06 from a dealer liquidation.

Did the clutching and set it up for the 080 belt and it was fine.

It would run down the lake right beside my buddy's '06 Apex Gt all day.

Should have seen the look on his face the first time...priceless.

I put over 6000 miles on it and the guy I sold it to is still running it.

Must have got a good one I guess. :dunno:

The Arctic cat chassis with the yamaha turbo... In which ever color combo you like....... Is a top end monster. I doubtful it can really shine in the trails. A lighter less hp sled with the same chassis will handle far better.

It's is and always will be a very small market for the " King of the Lake " crown.  Someone will just out $$$$ you a your in second place.

I'm not sure who Arctic cat is really trying to compete with.

I'm quite happy with my new Thundercat, no desire to turn up the wick in the twisties anymore.

To many close calls with Ricky Racer riding in Parry Sound & Muskoka over the last ten years will do that.

Now it is certainly fun blasting down the lakes when the opportunity presents itself.....

So the machz I guess would be just as comfortable as a new sidewinder for trail/ day to day riding?

Only comparing one thing among these sleds, top speed on a lake, seems a bit narrow minded. The majority of sleds today could rip down the lake at a nice clip than pound the trails all day....vs that machz pounding you on the trails.

You are right Stoney, had to move my 2000 XCR800 around the other day.

Did a quick ride down the road, got back and could not imagine trail riding it compared to today's iron.

And I did at the time but age and a bad back/knees would have me giving up the sport if i had to ride it today.

Now a blast down the lake makes me remember why I still have it around.

Very sorry for your loss, they truly are part of the family.

Ours had the same issue a few years ago, esophageal paralysis.

It's a helpless feeling not being able to help them.

    RIP Lulu....
