2023 Iron Dog - the toughest race known to man
Fuck yay! The 2023 race is almost here. This is the hardest snowmobile race ever created. USXC cornfield “racing” doesn’t even compare. Iron Doggers race where there are no roads, cell coverage, hotels, restaurants or bars. You get seriously hurt you can die. Medical help is hours away even if the weather allows for someone to fly in and get you. If your sled breaks down YOU have to fix it if you want to keep going to get to shelter. It doesn’t change the fact that fewer and fewer people give a shit about the Iron Dog or snowmobile racing in general. Did you watch the race start on YouTube? They had high school kids filming it. They used to have the biggest local news station televise it on NBC. If you looked in the background the crowd wasn’t very big.
