Mainecat
Pine pollen is crazy here. It’s been perfect here in the 70s the last few days. Trimmed some overhanging branches today. Tomorrow I hope to finish vinyl siding the shed before it gets to friggin hot. The last week we have had wall builders working a 3 foot by 70 foot wall. They are done but the loam, planting beds and hydro seeding are scheduled this week. Boomer!

racinfarmer
I'm not sure WTF I looked at to drive this, but my FB newsfeed has been packed full of super lib memes, union shit, socialist crap, etc. Like every 3 or 4 things is one of them for the last couple months. If it wasn't for Marketplace, I think I'd dump it, and still just might.

smokin george
I hooked up the sxs trailer and the bed of the truck is loaded. All that's left to load are the clothes and a big cooler and leaving at 2am Monday and heading to Nova Scotia for the summer.

I buy it fresh or frozen at the grocery store for $2.49 CDN ,$1.99 for a bottle of Primo pizza sauce and a big slab of quality cheese. We had a pizza party one afternoon and I whipped up 10 pizzas.

Platinum Contributing Member Jimmy Snacks Posted June 24, 2022 Platinum Contributing Member Share Posted June 24, 2022 In 1976, Shavarsh Karapetyan, an Armenian Olympic swimmer, had just completed a 12-mile run with his brother when they saw a trolley bus crash into a dam reservoir. The trolley bus sank 80 feet offshore at a depth of 33 feet. Shavarsh immediately dove in and swam to the bus and despite zero visibility, managed to kick in the back window, injuring himself in the process. He proceeded to save twenty people trapped in the bus, one at a time, for hours. The combined effect of the cold water and his inquiries from breaking the glass window led to his hospitalization for 45 days after the incident, during which time he developed pneumonia, sepsis, and lung damage which ended his athletic career. For years, his story wasn't known, until an article about the event identified him by name in 1982. In 1985, he happened to pass by a burning building and rushed inside, again saving people trapped inside one at a time until he collapsed. He was again hospitalized with severe burns and lung damage. He's still kicking it at 66. Just an awesome person I learned about today and thought I'd share.

ckf
Today was a warm one for this area with highs in the mid 80's with a bit of humidity. Tomorrow is supposed to be a touch warmer before rain associated with a cold front on Monday.
smokin george
We got the pontoon in the water and spent the day out there. The Hummingbird was showing 71 deg but everybody that jumped in the lake said it was colder lol.
smokin george
A work in progress and only one miscalculation lol. I have one more 4x4 to drill (2 holes), mount it then run the 3/4 manilla rope thru. I bought 450ft so I can do 2 runs thru the posts. It'll be like a runway at night with the solar caps
Angry ginger
solar caps are the best. Options have come a long way since i would stuff the cheapo solar stake lamps in the tops of my dock posts.
