I think they were going with Postpartum Psychosis but the list of meds and all the various doctors prescribing her shit to take was impressive. She had her husband leave just so she could kill her kids says to me she planned it

She was also juiced up on Ativan along with other antipsychotics and antidepressants. Caregivers weren’t communicating on the case despite its complexity. My team was in an almost identical situation with a mother of three many years ago. We intervened and nothing tragic occurred. This type situation, while not common, occurs more often than most understand in mental health.

Yeah she supposedly said she heard voices etc. She was so juiced up on chemicals who knows. Having the wherewithal to send her husband away when she wanted to kill her kids seems premeditated at that point.

Premeditation in a period of psychosis doesn’t equate to criminality. Having a motive based on self interest or personal gain does. The jury will have to decide on that.

She sought out treatment months prior to her strangling her three children to death and they gave her pills to take. I guess the dosage was off. Oh well. Not her fault at all. The poor thing. She just needs more help.
