Trump Pardons 9 Diesel Tuners Charged with Deleting Emissions Equipment

  • Gold Donating Member

resident Trump pardoned a diesel mechanic convicted of violating the Clean Air Act back in November, and now, he’s done it again. On the eve of Independence Day, the commander-in-chief granted clemency to more than half a dozen individuals who had previously been dealt prison sentences, hefty civil penalties, and serious criminal fines. It’s the latest development in what can only be described as an about-face regarding the federal government’s stance on environmental enforcement.

The president said during an Oval Office news conference that these cases came to his attention “because [he] noticed they were arresting people for fixing their car.” He later added, “We rule by common sense.”

Good. EPA and their massive overreach being clipped is awesome. These charges were gestapo level bullshit by "warmer" fanatics.

The EPA somehow walked their way into being a legislative body. They are not. And anything and everything that was made "law" at their whim should be struck back and down. Period.

THAT, is reason for the pardon alone.

Yep. But what if they had no charges at all like Fauci...or were his son with felony charges?

Don't be a pervert. That's not what this is about at all. It's about blatant government overreach at the cost of civil liberties and consumer taxes, both direct and indirect.

I'm just going to go ahead and not say anything.

Hey, don't you know that we can add $10k price to a vehicle to be paid by the consumer that contributes almost nothing to the actual pollution problem (we'll lie and convince them otherwise), THEN, when it all starts to fail and throw codes, hampering vehicle operation, that's their problem too! We can take an ICE that can last 500,000 miles and bring that down to about 60-100k before MAJOR repairs are needed due to the EPA mandated crap! It's awesome.

Also, NO MILITARY VEHICLES of any sort have any of this world saving technology. Makes one wonder why? Reliability and maintenance? Maybe!

I went by a veteranarian yesterday and no shit right on the sign out at the road "Come in and ask about our financing options!"

Well, what we've done is allow the financial institutions to render cash deals almost irrelevant or impossible for most with MSRP values. Our economy is built on debt....and a large part is put on consumers. And look how easy everyone went for it. EIGHT YEAR CAR LOANS. Holy fuckery balls!!!!!

Cash isn't worth much anymore to dealerships. They want you to finance. We bought my wife's car last year and you should have seen what they tried to do it get me to finance. Crazy. I literally started to feel like they weren't gonna sell it unless I financed.....and that's exactly what they want you to think.
