resident Trump pardoned a diesel mechanic convicted of violating the Clean Air Act back in November, and now, he’s done it again. On the eve of Independence Day, the commander-in-chief granted clemency to more than half a dozen individuals who had previously been dealt prison sentences, hefty civil penalties, and serious criminal fines. It’s the latest development in what can only be described as an about-face regarding the federal government’s stance on environmental enforcement.

The president said during an Oval Office news conference that these cases came to his attention “because [he] noticed they were arresting people for fixing their car.” He later added, “We rule by common sense.”

To delete and not tune isn't a good idea. But most modern diesels don't smoke much at all even when deleted. Mine smokes very little. A little puff at start up and that's that. And yes, "rolling coal" is fucking gay. But I do want to know how to do it so I can dust protesters. So far, I can't fucking figure it.

Smoke is nothing more than unburned fuel. Power waving goodbye out the tailpipe. DPF is to reduce soot and cancer causing particulate matter that lodges in lung tissue. EGR and its cooling methods are to reduce Nox.

Agree that the EPA got so powerful they think they get to write law through regulation, as is done on so many levels in Canada.

I am torn, slightly on the issue. The death of two strokes through regulation was an overreach. The fuel used in two strokes is minimal, but when I drop my 2 stroke outboard in my barrel it's a stark reminder as to how much junk it puts in the lake. (reminds me of the oil I dumped in the creek).

Diesels in automotive and trucking represent a far larger "problem", if one thinks it's a problem in the first place.

It comes down to expectation of a certain amount of necessary evil. To toss it like so much fake virtue is ignorant. To punish those that need the ICE to operate is even dumber. ESPECIALLY when diesels are used to feed big city shitholes.

In short, these people have no idea what they are doing and don't care who it affects. It's simply that they want what they want...and everybody else can suck is, "for the greater good." They should just stop allowing food deliveries to their cities....really show us all their commitment level. I'd be impressed! They can fucking eat each other....and the sidewalk weeds can serve as a side dish.
