The nice thing about marketplace is it shows you everything you probably want to buy even if you didn't know it yet. Magic!

I feel like the deals in CL were way better then they are on FB/MP.

FB is annoying - maybe I just need to learn to search better.

I’ve sold quite a few items on CL (not just sled stuff) the last couple years - but it’s definitely a smaller audience.

A positive of FB/MP is for the most part, you get to see what kind of fucking retard is offering you 30% the value of your sled and sweetens the deal with a blown up racing lawnmower or some shit like that.

I miss buying the Craig’s list hookers. Now I had to go back to buying normal hookers

Still some people that use Craigslist but for the most part yup it’s shitty Facebook. I still skim through it every now and then sometimes there’s a good deal there. I got my current sled off Craigslist.

I will say when you do find something that is only on CL and not FB it is usually really easy to negotiate...

I scored a 2004 and 2005 Sno-Pro 440's with a bunch of spare parts for $800 for the pair. They needed help, but I think I had under $1200 or so into both of them to have them looking and running great.

Missed out on a Blade for $2000.

Hell, back in the hay day you could score up vintage one lungers for the price of "get it out of the shed" or $20-50 and another $100 you had yourself a race sled.

I'm fairly certain I could sell my decade old aluminum inline for what we paid for it. Some things just hold their value. Aluminum 2 place tilt beds are kind of the same way. Keep them for a decade and loose $100.

Except when inflation has doubled in that time it's not. But yes trailers seems to always be worth the same dollar amount. Btdt
