Thought I’d try the yellow variety after having mediocre results with Milwaukee. Talked to a few guys on the road who’ve had the same substandard results from the red crew. 3/8” stubby impact and 1/2”. They’ll never be this clean again.

I have had Milwaukee, Hitachi, DeWalt and my favorite is the Makita

I have mostly dewalt but do have a few Milwaukee, a 90° impact to be specific. The dewalt have been great and I have that same large impact in your picture, it's a beast.

I always had DeWalt, but have slowly switched over to Milwaukee due more torque and longer battery life

Only issue I've had with my milwaukee stuff is a bad battery that was covered under warranty.

Cordless, I'm all Milwaukee and have multiple batteries... which sure have gone up in price

Yup, lost a few, otherwise great

MC will never own Milwaukee. Its red.....

Both performed well today. The big boy took on some heavy duty suspension work and handled it well.

I'm only a weekend warrior, so ryobi suits me just fine. Plus they have so many damn attachments that use their battery system. Can understand why you'd want higher quality if you used them more often or for a living though....

Have Milwaukee, Rigid, and Ryobi all good. Ryobi batteries have all lasted. Milwaukee that's the Achilles heel

I started with Milwaukee in Florida and then went to Ryobi for Brad nailer and compound sliding mitre saw, no noticeable difference

I think most of my Milwaukee M18's are going on six or seven years and still going strong and they get regular exercise. Are the newer ones not holding up as well?

Maybe, I've been buying compatible batteries from amazon and have pretty good luck with them

I have some Hitachi tools that have been bomb proof for almost a decade, and came with a life time warranty (impact driver 1/2" drill, sawzall). After taking a beating for 5 years the drill started making funny noises and jumping out of gear. After the beating it took figured it was just time to replace it, but sent it in for warranty expecting them to call it abuse. 2 weeks later I got it back better than new, they even replaced the chuck that I had about destroyed the plastic "handle" on with a new all metal one.

A few years ago I wanted to add to my collection, only to find out that they sold the tool division to private equity, and renamed it metabo htp.

That lead me down the rabbit hole, I ended up going team red M12 and M18

I needed a cheap 3/8 electric ratchet over winter (studs) and found one of these Chinese deals on Amazon that use M18'S and now lives in the travel tool kit in the truck. Not something I'd expect to last in a shop environment but I have very low expectations and for the price, zero complaints...

A friend of mine that is a builder has switched just about everything over from DeWalt to Milwaukee. He prefers the Milwaukee. He mentioned that he uses their battery powered chop saw over his corded one most of the time now.

I've got both brands, DeWalt has been the best of both, many of my DeWalt tools use 60 volt batteries.

I’ve got an old hitachi hand drill and 1/2” impact that’s almost 15 years old. Both are beat to hell but still function like new. I’ve had a Milwaukee M12 1/4” impact and cut off tool for 5 years. Other than the junk battery covers that fall off, they’ve been ok.

Brushless have about the same power as corded

It's also easier than setting up and tripping over extension cords. He buys plenty of extra batteries and has a charging station setup in his box truck. It runs off of an inverter . It's heated in the winter with a heating pad like you would use propagating seedlings. He said it works great.

All Milwaukee at work. Only major issue we have had is batteries will go below the voltage threshold so the BMS won’t allow it to take a charge so it takes a few minutes and hook a full charged battery into the bad on with some jumpers and to get voltage up and it will take a charge after that
