I wouldn't buy any Chinese motorized anything, much less an automobile. Chinese brush cutter once. Garbage, and a disposable piece.

Title makes no sense. "Despite US tariffs"? They aren't "killing it" here.

How come dummies don't get how tariffs work? It's pretty simple.

You can buy Chinese made everything but….but those Chinese made cars are a no go. I wonder why?

The Biden administration also banned all Chinese drones introduced after November of 2025. Whatever new drone DJI comes out with won't be available in the US. At least we can still get what was already approved prior to November of 2025.... for now

Best drones in the business for photography and cinematography. There's nothing even close to DJI.

With vehicles like this for $75k US the lineup would be deep and demand off the chart for these hitting the US and European competitors in this market.

Only in Our Dreams

We wish cars like the 2027 Xiaomi SU7 Ultra were available on our side of the world. A premium sport sedan with more than 1,500 horsepower and 1,300 lb-ft of torque for less than $75,000 sounds too good to be real.

I don't disagree... but do we really need 1500hp cars and trucks for daily transportation?

at 5,200lbs advertised... what kind of road use tax should be slapped on it?

yes, I know the Chinese have shitloads of smaller less powerful cars and trucks which would also decimate the US manufacturers.

was never in favor of the tax credit horse shit here but we're on our back foot now for development and infrastructure in the future. GM and Ford alone spent the GDP of small nations on theirs, all for naught at the moment.

imo their biggest mistake politically was trying to shove them down people's throats rather than letting them find their own niche and path. the charging infrastructure was and still is the biggest hurdle.

water is over the dam and down the river, halfway out to sea now.

sometimes I look at our situation and think... remember how we financially broke Russia during the Cold war? China has done that while we've been playing World Police and buying all their goods US companies sell.

HP per HP EV’s are much different than a petro powered vehicle of the same. Hard to explain but with a 800+ hp EV suv in the garage the thing is so much more composed when using 800 hp then using the 400ish hp of a mustang GT I had. Same with a Tesla sedan. Using all that hp is much easier and less drama than any other gas AWD sedan or suv in the 400 hp range. You don’t have that connection nor the noise to drown out the limit of the vehicle. Easier to hear and feel in an EV when you are about to exceed the limit of the vehicle. Hard to explain until you been around it

I guess I meant gas motored stuff. I have heard good things about CF Moto though, but still don’t think I want any of their products. I don’t know beans about drones. lol

I see America between stage 4 and 5 on David Murrin’s scale of empires. Not so with China.

  1. 4. Overextension: To maintain its expansive status quo, the empire spends heavily on defense and bureaucracy, sacrificing future investment. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

  2. 5. Decline and Legacy: The empire's power fades, leading to a weaker, multi-polar world as internal division and loss of cohesion take hold.

Just the opposite. I was against more wars, more arming Israel. Allowing Israel to dictate American foreign policy. Saving social security. Fixing health care. We’ve got just the opposite with this administration. So fuck off.

Sorry fat man you've had that title wrapped up for a decade or more now.

Was it the "F" word that made you think (lol I know) that I was angry?

Not a great comparison. My Audi is quicker than my buddies Gen 1 R1S and is more composed in almost any situation. Modern AWD cars are super composed.

The only thing China has mastered is how to build cars that burst into flames and kill people.

They are really good at building ones that rust out, break down, and crash on their own too
