❄️ We're off to a good start in the Northeast ❄️

We are starting off in a pretty good winter pattern so far here in northern Vermont. We have had snow covering the ground for about a month now. Not a lot, but snow covered ground. We picked up another 6 inches today.

    Few from my trip.

  • Woke up to another 6" of new snow this morning. It's some of the heaviest snow that we have had in awhile.

I'm up in the Caribou area and there isn't a ton of snow but it's definitely rideable.

I was going to head there tommorow but then saw the forcast. Think we are going to do IP for the day . Did you get up around Ft Fairfield? Pics from there looked good.

That's exactly where I am. Did a quick 1 hour burn after we got here just to test the new sled out, going to head to the Ft Kent area tomorrow. Weather won't be perfect but it's better than work.

This is definitely much more like a traditional winter that I grew up with as a kid so far. We have had fairly sustainable cold,.not a whole lot of snow but the snow we do get hangs around. Would often be able to sleigh ride or go ice skating during the school break from Christmas to New Year's.

Then we would get that "January Thaw" ....a bit of a warming where we do get some melting for maybe a week to 10 days In early to mid-January.... And that's where we are right now.

If it follows suit we should return to pretty cold temps and maybe even some decent snow later in the month and much of February. I'm liking it so far. 👍 ..... feeling like a kid again 😂

Today is going to get up into the low 30s here. Tomorrow is supposed to get up into the upper 30s with a bit of rain before cooling back off. The latest forecast discussion mentioned the possibility of a sizeable snow storm this weekend. We'll see.....

Yeah..... We've been in the upper 40s the last couple days. All snow is gone, But I'm kind of glad, my driveway was a sheet of ice and nearly fell on my ass several times. Forecast is mostly 40s the next week and then cooling down into the '30s. I imagine you'll be falling into the low twenties and teens late next week up your way. I really do hope we get a major storm with a foot or two sometime this season. I really enjoy those.

We only took short breaks to piss and fuel up, had lunch in Ft Kent. Saw maybe 10 sleds all day.

Yeah he is. I use to race with him. I see him every week at the speedway.

👍 nice looks good for the amount of snow they got. Doesn’t look to get too warm up there hopefully it doesn’t kill it.

Supposed to rain a little this evening but snow again on Sunday, should be a blast driving home in that.

Oh ya that’ll be a fun puckered 8hr ride. Hopefully fields hold up tonight for ya and you can get some good miles in.

40's and rain here all weekend...I need to move further north. Winters here suck now...

Yup the little we got is probably gonna be gone by the end of the weekend in the monadnock region. I still got hope for a decent winter down here 🤞
