Having this same conversation last weekend with all levels of Hospital staff. It is a complete disaster. Understaffed, overworked, underpaid. Covid shot mandates were a huge blow to the healthcare industry. Older competent employees quit or retired out over forced vaccinations. The newer younger employees that have replaced them have no work ethic or common sense. After going to school you should be competent / confident in doing your job after a few weeks. Every day they need someone to tell them what to do and how to do it.

After hearing story after story from my wife every day I would be scared shitless if I had to go in for surgery. One of the administrators was telling me he had to go find this young woman who was supposed to be prepping a room, which the charge nurse was doing because she disappeared. She was sitting in the common area playing on her phone. He slapped the phone right out of her hands. “Wtf are you doing???? Peoples lives are dependent on us.

Reading this, and the timing of it .... yikes! One of my best buds is scheduled to go under the knife in a couple hours for rotator cuff and torn labrum surgery. Granted, it's Mayo so one would hope everyone is competent there. But yeah, these stories are REAL, and shouldn't be in the good ol' US of A.

Sorry to hear the nightmare was real for you, @polaris7541 I hope you get the pain relief you deserve, as well as the outcome you deserve!!

Sorry to hear this @polaris7541 and it really makes me wonder about our medical professionals. I started loosing faith in their knowledge and competence a long time ago.

There is the occasional one where someone "slipped and fell onto" an object you can't imagine someone putting up their ass/vag
