That ext special will sell. EPS is new for two strokes. The twin rail mountain sleds will sell. 3 year warranty on snow checks too.

I'd say they're off to a better start than I expected

Trying to compete with the anzees on here

I kinda want that ext. but I am not sure if the build quality is there yet so I am staying away.

The EXT is a hot sled. The EPS, Ice Slipper and 858 only is gay though

Waiting for more precise info to be released on these 2026 models.

Is the tunnel bare aluminum or powder coated silver on EXT Special ?

Will all ATAC sleds get the adjustable front arm shock also ? Or just the EXT Special ?

Somewhere I saw it said that SnoPro models could be ordered with the G8.... what about the R-XC ? Also wonder what the upcharge will be......

I wonder if there is enough consumer interest shared with the dealers if Cat will also release the EXT in a 600 ? It has happened before..... I would definitely order a 600 EXT (sell our blue 24 ZR 6 ATAC) ...but right now I am not sure on the 858 EXT or another 858 R-XC for me for next season..........

Here's to the next move forward and more info coming out !!

Agree 100%. The way that sled is speced has been needed for a long time. I wish they would have done qs3r instead of the atac on all arms.

I've seen why...

cosmetically it looks fantastic and C&A's on a consumer model is cool considering the RXC doesn't come with them. guess I need someone to explain to me why a 2S sled needs EPS, probably the same reason it needs e-start as standard. idk which track it is... by the time I got home last night a hot shower, dinner and going to bed were bigger priorities than looking at new sled stuff.

ATAC makes sense for the masses, I guess. I like that it comes std with an actual windshield, which they should do in a purple tint. lol

How is EPS? I also see no need....unless you can run a snox ski and 16" carbide and still easily turn the skis. Then there might be merit. And yes, I need at least that much carbide roflcrying

EPS lets you load up aggressive ski's with aggressive carbide, reduces darting, and lets the average old fat out of shape guy ride for more than 30 miles without getting tired/sore shoulders

EPS on those 300+ mile days on tight trails will be the ticket!!

Wish Polaris would have done this years ago!!

I welcome EPS. I've never felt sore or fatigued from steering. But I have noticed with c&a skis and big carbides when you're hanging off the sled being aggressive as you can that I can't be as precise with throttle as I'd like to be and not as dynamic with riding position as I could be. It's not a huge deal but with aggressive traction, is be a better and faster rider with EPS. It's obvious. Nothing to do with 2s or 4s, aggressive traction requires way more force period.

and the added weight of the EPS is.... ?

EPS/E-Start/Fancy Gauge... added price, added weight... and on a light 2S I don't see the necessity.

in other news... this didn't age well lol

idk, I run C&A's, aggressive bars and studs with limiter straps that are pulled up a notch on trails without issue or fatigue... dunno

remember all the Polaris baler lite-bite-terrain dominator marketing and dangling the ski's was all the rage... and then you have the people numbuts on FB who want to ride wheelies and tell people to loosen their limiter straps... and put twin pipes on a SP5!!! lmao right @Not greg b and @krom ?

I guess for the same people who can't learn or deal with adjusting their suspension (atak, smart shocks, etc), adjust ski pressure with the FTS spring, read a map or start their 2S with a rope it's probably going to be great... sarcasm1

I guarantee you if you rode your sled back to back with and without eps that the EPS sled would feel significantly lighter and you'd have a different stance

i totally get it on a pig heavy 4S, a utility or grand touring sled... but on a lightweight, LIGHT WEIGHT 2S trail weapon?

I don't see the e x t being considered a trail weapon. I think it's customer base is the 60 plus guy riding 150 miles per day on groomed trails, and is either too lazy or lacks the knowledge to properly adjust shocks if there was too many settings. I bet most would still leave them on setting 2 and never touched them again. Jimwit is the customer that I see buying one of these.

Atac is shit that no one has bought. It needs to go away. The other 2 have active systems now. Shitty, mediocre, and more shitty setting with crappy hand controls makes it so great.

It is nice to see the ra-tards are full throttle on ACTR and other groups.
