The inconsistency with these yellows is pissing people off…there was zero reason to throw it yesterday and they fucked up what would have been another Atlanta photo finish. 😤

I read that yesterday.  Are you going back this year?

Little Hitler called me a while back and asked if I'd be able to help.  Didn't really give him any commitment either way.  Got a schedule emailed to me of the races and filled out a couple races along with the normal forms we fill out each year.  We'll see what happens.

Last year at one of the races the big boss was saying the Nascar deal was the only segment that was loosing money for Sunoco's "special events" department.  Said the viewership has dropped since the original agreements were made and extended plus the business model and Sunoco owership has changed.  This was know to be the last year of the agreement and Sunoco was going to take a hard look at it.

Sounding like we will see a new sponsor next year. I'm sure sell all of those retail locations to Seven Eleven changed their marketing plan too.

VP Race Fuel was one Sunoco's biggest competitors for special events.  They also have retail stores so I'm sure they will be in the mix.

Nice speech from Cark Edwards being inducted into the hall of fame. Remember when he was still racing was a class act with the fans. Never once seen him not sign an autograph or stop for a picture with a fan.

Briscoe on the pole in his new ride.

2025 Daytona 500

DAYTONA BEACH, FLORIDA - FEBRUARY 12: Chase Briscoe, driver of the #19 Bass Pro Shops Toyota and crew pose with the Pole Award trophy after qualifying for the NASCAR Cup Series Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway on February 12, 2025 in Daytona Beach, Florida. #19-Chase Briscoe won the Busch pole for the Daytona 500 NASCAR Cup Series race at Daytona International Speedway with speed of 182.745, for his first Daytona 500 pole, second pole at Daytona and third pole of his career.

#2-Austin Cindric will start the race in second.

The rest of the field will be set after the Duel races on Thursday night. Qualifying sets the lineup for those races.

#19-Chase Briscoe will start on the pole for the first duel, followed by #60-Ryan Preece, #21-Josh Berry, #3-Austin Dillon, and #10-Ty Dillon.

#2-Austin Cindric is the pole sitter for the second duel, followed by #22-Joey Logano, #11-Denny Hamlin, #20-Christopher Bell, and #5-Kyle Larson.

The fastest two open team drivers: #56-Martin Truex Jr. and #84-Jimmie Johnson are guaranteed a starting position in the race based on their qualifying speeds. Their starting spots for the race will be determined by their finish in the Duels. They can also qualify by being the top open driver in their Duel race.

The remaining open drivers: #40-Justin Allgaier, #01-Corey LaJoie, #62-Anthony Alfredo, #66-Chandler Smith, #78-B.J. McLeod, and #44-J.J. Yeley need to race their way in. The top open driver in each Duel makes the race. If Truex or Johnson race their way in, Allgaier and LaJoie could rely on their qualifying speeds to get in.

#91-Hélio Castroneves will be able to make the race through an open exemption provisional if he does not qualify through his Duel finish tomorrow night.

All good the fun has been gone for a while. When they had at more practice and we use to fuel the cars was a lot more interaction with the crews and drivers. We also use to do a lot of tours through the garage area that has basically dried up other the rare occasions. Impound races ar were the worst 70% of your day was doing nothing. We had to be there 1 hr before the garage opened which was sometime 6:00 AM and were the last ones to leave the garage.

Now filter in the Little Hitler factor I'm good. Sounds like they're already reducing staff for this year so don't see them returning after this year anyway. Couple guys on the other fuel crews says everyone seems a lot more uptight.

More time by our place in Northern Wisconsin is what I'm looking at 👍🏼

Parker Kligerman won the truck race and then he didn’t…DQ for low ride height in the rear so the win goes to Corey Heim.

Couldn't stay up for that but what a kick in the nuts.

You know, that's kind of a bullshit call. How much of that can be attributed to weight jacks, or if you have taken a lot of wedge out of the rear springs after pre-race inspection ?

Are the numbers up due to the JR effect? It wouldn't have been good for NASCAR if the 40 missed the race.

This ARCA race is an embarrassment…..too many drivers that do not belong on a Super Speedway…wow.

We use to have bets when the first caution was going to be in an Arca race. It was rare anybody would pick a number higher then lap 9.
