Need another machine.  Wife/younger son are taken care of, but would like to be able to take both boys out now.  I could care less on the brand.  It won't get ridden more than 1k mi in the next 3 years, he is only 5'10 so I don't need a huge machine but want it to make him love sledding.  Seeing decent prices on stuff, but if you had to buy a 5/600 class machine right now to keep for 3 years and have it hardly get ridden what would it be?

I always look at the clutches.  If they're all full of belt dust and look like they never been cleaned and there's chunks of belt laying in there walk away.  If they look like they've been cleaned and the rest of the sled it clean pull the plugs and do a compression check.  Unless it's a E-tec little harder for a compression check.

X3 definitely best bang for your buck if you want new. I’ve seen real good deals on leftover sport 600efi hard to pass up if you’re looking for something in that class.IMG_6716.thumb.png.19d1f733ba933e01c75d59c2e660c75b.png

Everyone that wants 90s ass dragger performance at a super low price that would be the machine. Hp would be close to a zr580 and a suspension that is light years better

Had no idea they were selling those at that price.

That just shows me how bad a lot of people are struggling right now that they even have a leftover cheap sled to begin with and it’s marked down to basically a steal now and still not sold.

I’d have fun on it shit I’m laughing with a huge smile bombing my kids 120 around the yard haha. It’s really all you need for a speed limit state like NH.

got my 12 year old one late last winter in 137" its perfect for him for 85 hp its a fun sled to ride  he loves it and should last him years till he needs to upgrade he was on an evo prior to this also a good sled after disabling the rev limiter and changing the flipper he rode that every day there was snow on the ground and ice on the lake.  i swapped the seat on the MXZ the seat on them is small and the gap by the tank  he didnt like so i ordered a seat for it and made a nice difference. I got mine for a good deal in late february but not that good of a deal.

also shows how much margin the manufacturers actually have to work with.

$3k in margin on your entry level sled?  pretty juicy... and what's the juice on the MXZ Competition Package?   :lol2:

is this discussion not snowmobile industry related?

bulk of profits are made on the high end trims of sleds, SXS's, trucks... etc., etc., etc.

guess I should re-read the forum rules before making any more uncomfortable posts
