  • Yeah, because you're going to come here and tell us what a POS you purchased   EV's fill a niche market ... and by niche I mean, a bunch of left leaning, climate alarmist, morons.

  • Just to be clear .. I don't hate EV's.  Everyone has their likes and dislikes.  What I hate is the virtue signaling and the holier than though preaching that some do.  Or, the bragging about the 0-60

I'll look, had 1 awhile back from him claiming he was going to stop EV production eventually.

  Gullible moron says what?

I get it, you like slow antiquated tech.  Change is scary for old guys. Admitting you are wrong is even harder.

Unless you are commuting over 200 miles per day with no access to electricity at work (which only a fucking moron would waste their life doing ). Or you do a lot of towing, EV’s are the best choice. Cheaper, more convenient, cleaner air, better for the environment, way less maintenance and they last longer.

Here are my brake pads after 29,000 km.  My battery has zero degradation after 18 months and 29,000 km. Solid winter car with all wheel drive, it corners like it’s on rails and it has crazy hard acceleration.

EV’s are junk is a popular opinion among people that don’t own them.  I’ve driven one for 18 months and it’s the best vehicle I’ve owned. As soon as they drop solid state batteries in a mid size truck at a reasonable price, my truck will be gone.

Find a gas all wheel drive small/mid SUV that goes 0-60mph on 4.3 seconds and let me know the range and the cost. Your equinox is boring and soft.

The reason we know EV's are all that and some Ruffles is how their owners lose their fucking minds trying to hard sell them at every turn.

4.3?

The X3m will do it in 3.1 and do a 120mph 1.4 mile, and turn 25mpg.

When you spend $75k on a vehicle, you ain't worried about mileage...

My 5200 pound full sizer does it in 3.8 and go 425 plus miles...

Continue to look 'cute' in your little EV SUV... it fits you...

Well, there it is!

I know it’s hard for you to understand but old battery tech use to degrade. The new batteries do not degrade as fast. Ev6 owners are putting lots of miles on their cars with little degradation.

Do you have any experience with mechanical equipment?  In your opinion do electric motors or gas engines last longer?

if you had a machines with 1,000 moving papers or 100 moving parts, which should cause fewer issues.
Careful, it’s not a trick question. It just requires common sense. Maybe ask a neighbour.

What an idiot.  What is the mtbf for the drive that controls the motor?

Oh and the battery is garbage too.

That's pretty harsh personal insults for such an intellectual person as yourself that is above everyone else who definitely doesn't have the TDS.

You actually think Tesla is going to stop making electric cars.

The only way they will happen is if Musk bankrupts the company with another few stinkers like the cybertruck

Longer than an ICE engine and transmission.

The amount of experience with mechanical equipment I have most likely dwarfs yours.  I'd bet on that.  Electric motors still fail.  The batteries aren't fucking infinite.  And the inner workings still deteriorate due to moving parts....let alone everything else that is a mirror of ICE powered vehicles.  (I'd give you a list here but you'd think the names were made up).

I'll take ICE for anything crucial where power and longevity are needed.  I'll take batteries for some shit that isn't crucial or, can be replaced easily.
